We were looking for a fun rooftop happy hour and that’s exactly what we found at bar deco! Such a fun spot and the appetizers were SO YUMMY! I had the avocado eggs rolls…oh my gosh, SO YUMMY! Definitely a fun stop!Update 6/13Came again and it wasn't as great as I remember... I literally dreamt of the club egg rolls I had last time and they were not as good this time (they got rid of the avocado). Also the seating is just a mess. If they put a counter around the edge of the rooftop there'd be so much more seating. Nothing worse than ordering food and having no where to eat it!

We were staying at the Motto Hotel in downtown DC and their rooftop bar was closed for a private event, so they recommended we try Bar Deco, which also has a rooftop bar, and very glad we did. As we entered on the lower level, the hostess mentioned that the rooftop area was quite busy, and suggested we try the bar on the 3rd floor. The bar has a cool industrial vibe along with great Happy Hour food and drink specials. The food is very good (my wife said it's the best burger she's ever had), and they have a nice selection of craft beers and cocktails. We were fortunate to meet their Director of Operations, Jesse, who hails from the upstate NY area where we lived for 28 years, so it ended up being a very enjoyable evening. The next time we're in the area, we would certainly make Bar Deco one of our stops.

We were here for a Caps game and the larger female server was just angry the entire time. Thank goodness your other server in a black hoodie was there. She was awesome, polite, got us what we needed and even offered to go upstairs for a different beer we were looking for. Went on 5/7/2022 if you are a manager. She is the only reason we will come back. Please teach or help the other server. She was absolutely terrible. As a member of the armed forces and a past server myself, it was absolutely uncalled for and really upset the people around us and ourselves, food was awesome by the way!

Great little dive in Chinatown with a rooftop bar. American style pub fare with a good cocktail menu and a few craft brews to chose from. Service was friendly, if a bit understaffed. Glad we stopped!

This place was just massively disorganized. Check came with a bunch of things we didn't order, we had at least 4 or 5 servers, food runners constantly interrupting our meal trying to give us things we didn't order. This is the product of building a gratuity into every check, no ownership of anything, just shotgun random plates everywhere. Steak and cheese was good, and interesting spiral cut fries. Ultimately they did sort everything out, or I'd be more upset.

Self serve bar with first come first serve. Good drinks!

Went here for brunch this past weekend with a group of 10 people. 8 people got their food while the remaining two people waited an extra hour and a half before receiving their food. The whole table had finished eating and I still had not received my food. I demanded that they cancel the food order and remove the order from my bill. They said they would remove the order and never did. only honoring a $10 discount for what? Each bill has a 20% gratuity and my food took over 2 hours to come. Horrible experience and poor customer relations. I would never recommend or go back.

I ordered the Gouda Short Rib Burger; it was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I don’t often write reviews of bars or restaurants; but knowledge of that short rib burger must be shared with the world. The short rib was delicious; but what made it exquisite was the added sweetness of the maple syrup coupled with the savory Gouda cheese. The crunchiness of the toasted bun ensured that each bite appealed to all five senses. I will be back.

Good pregame spot before a Capital One Arena Event. Nachos are best in the city, absolute ?!Good happy hour combined with some solid daily specials. Can get crowded on GameDay but service is attentive. Again, best Nachos. Disagree? Tell me what's better

I really don't write reviews often but this place had ALOT of issues that I feel need to be addressed. My friends and I went here before a Caps game where it was fairly slow. When we got there everything seemed fine. We were sitting at a table but it was in the bar area and the waitress wanted a card to start a tab with. I thought this was odd since we were sitting down in a dinning table but could just be me. Any way we had tried to order fried pickles multiple times, having asked every time a waiter came by, this was about 3- 4 times. Once we had gotten our food we finally realized we were not getting the pickles. To top it all off when our entree's got dropped off only half of our tables food came out with one of them being completely wrong. Then after waiting 5 -10 minutes for the rest of our food to come out our waitress finally came over. We were obviously upset at when happened, and she got the order fixed. After this incident she didn't come back to check on us and would make eye contact with us and completely ignore our table. We closed our tabs out and left. I was then notified that my card was double charged me for my meal and another for a different price. As a server myself I understand mistakes happen, but don't ignore your table cause they're mad we would have been reasonable if she just came and spoke to us about what was happening. All of this combined was really ridiculous and easily fixable.
