Such a hidden gem that shouldn't be hidden! Everyone needs to try this. Family owned business that puts love into every order. Great service and perfect experience sitting outside on a nice day enjoying the food.Generous portion sizes make the value that much better. Amazing variety and blend of spices and really is a nice homestyle cooking. Can't wait to have my new Korean staple so close to home.
Absolutely incredible!! I'd read lots of positive reviews of this place, but I also lived in Korea for three years, so I was worried it might not live up to the hype. Let me tell you, it TOTALLY did! I got the inferno bibimbap, and my husband got the bulgogi cheesesteak. Our friends got the bao buns, so we got to try a good sampling of the menu. Everything was SO good! Super flavorful and super authentic. I actually didn't even realize they were a sustainably sourced company prior to beginning this review, but that's fantastic and just makes me want to order from them again even sooner. Get bangbop. You won't be disappointed!
I got my hopes too high when I saw vegan options on the menu. Impossible bulgogi?? Sign me up...I thought. We ordered the spicy pork kimbap, the impossible bao, and the inferno bibimbap. While my partner enjoyed the bibimbap, I hated both the spicy pork kimbap and impossible bao.The impossible bao was supposed to be bulgogi flavored but I would never taste this and associate it as anything remotely bulgogi related. it was just a lot of ground beef and took up way too much of the bao. The kimchi on top is what saved it from being completely trashed.The spicy pork kimbap was also bad, was more like two hand rolls and the vegetables were only in the top inch of the roll. After that it was only spicy pork and rice. It also didn't have any of the traditional kimbap veggies so I was disappointed.
The food tastes really good. The Korean pizza idea is really cool. If you like Korean BBQ sauce definitely try the pizza ?. The pork bao buns are great. The bun is not too dougve. Hands down the most amazing food we’ve had this year! My partner & I have deemed that this is our new date spot! The pick up area was so convenient and the staff were very attentive and accommodating. The kbbq cheesesteak was out of this world! Down to the choice of bread, everything was perfect. We wish we could rate this 50 stars!
We've eaten at Bangbop several times a day have never been disappointed. All the food is really good and it's reasonably priced. I think we've tried at least 10 different things off the menu and all of them have been great.
Apparently you order pick up your food from the rack then leave or if the weather is good, eat outside. DC’s finest. Some random chef gave me and my family some freshly fried pork skins
Flavorful, inventive & delicious!! The bulgolgi Kurrito blew my mind, spicy wings were great & you can even order a jar of kimchi
Great food and good service
The food at Bangbop is delicious, but their delivery survey is atrocious. We’ve ordered from there 3 times. The first two times, the order was delayed by over 45 minutes and arrived cold. Most recently, we waited over an hour and a half only to get a notification that the delivery “couldn’t be completed.” The delivery took so long that the restaurant has since closed, making it impossible to get answers. The food here is great, but it’s just not worth the hassle to deal with their delivery service. I’d suggest DoorDash instead, but they don’t allow you to customize your orders on the app.
