Good place to grab a quick sandwich (the grilled cheese is great) before a show at 6th and I
Ordered for pickup on Thanksgiving. Was given a time window of 12pm. Got there at 12:03pm. Order wasn't ready because the turkey wasn't done. So we waited and waited, over 50 min with other customers. No updates. Then when we finally got the food they were missing the oatmeal cookies we ordered, and substituted without asking us, chocolate chip cookies. Which we only found out because we checked the order in the bag, in the car before we left. The food itself was advertised for 4-6 people, but only if those people are kids. So we ended up having to go to a grocery store to get enough food. For nearly $250 this was a terrible experience.
This location is smaller than others. It's better for those picking up and eating close by because there is no indoor seating, nor is there room for indoor seating. We sat at the one table they had outside despite the cold. The chef's breakfast sandwich was so good that I didn't mind the cold.
I ordered Thanksgiving dinner here for 4-6 people, priced at $243 after tax, service fee, and tip. I'm deducting the first star because our food wasn't ready until 50 minutes after our scheduled pickup time. I'm deducting the second star because we had oatmeal cranberry cookies in our order which I was really looking forward to, and they gave us chocolate chip, saying that's all the bakery could make. This was the worst service experience I’ve ever had at a fast casual. Not just in DC , I mean anywhere, including internationally. They did not deserve my $50. Spend your money anywhere but here. Why? Let me count the ways:
I had the fruit and chia breakfast bowl and it was delicious. I have also had their cookies. The sugar cookies are addictive and the carrot cake cookies a rich surprise.
Chicken breast sandwich is amazing! Service is super friendly too! Excellent spot for carryout lunch in Chinatown.
