We originally came in for sushi. But once we got here we were told they no longer have a sushi chef. Other than that, the food is delicious and the service is super fast.
DC's Chinatown has some very good restaurants. If you don't make it to Chinatown this place is as good as any there. Reasonably priced, good food, nice atmosphere, decent service. A good meal!
Location was about 15 minutes from the monument. We had Thai dishes which were flavoursome, it was a nice meal. Nothing special but fed us all and we walked out happy. Would recommend the krapow on rice for those who like a bit of spice. Alcohol stops being served at 9 so get in before if you enjoy a beer (or two) with your meal!
Restaurant wasn’t crowded or seemed popular once we arrived. We had several servers but not just one. My spouse ordered the teriyaki chicken and it tasted burnt along with cold vegetables on the side. My biggest disappointment was the service fee. We had no idea there was a service fee on our bill and the told us after we received the bill. Not a place I would recommend but it’s ok.
The food was excellent, we shared one entree amongst three people because the portions were very generous. Service was good and pricing was very reasonable. We had a tour scheduled and they did accommodate to get us in and out in a timely manner. Will definitely go back next time in DC and spend more time and try more dishes..
Had dinner before a show at Ford's Theatre. Really enjoyed each dish. Started during happy hour and then had full dinner. Drinks were excellent. Shumai are pan fried and yummy. Satay is very good with a peanut sauce side. Korean Beef was very good. Wanted the sauce to be on each piece of beef instead of having to dig for it, but still.good. Orange chicken is also very good, on the sweet side. Soups were good, small portions, perfect for starters. Will return, have other items to try.
We've been to Asia Nine a number of times, and brought friends. Everyone always wants to come back! The menu is varied, with traditional Japanese dishes, Korean sizzling beef, Thai barbecued chicken, plus many stir-fries and curries. IMPORTANT NOTE: They stopped serving sushi when the pandemic forced them to reduce staff. As of April 2022 they had not restored the sushi, but the rest of the menu is intact. It's a spacious room, with a cherry-blossom theme. We have always received most accommodating service. Prices are reasonable, as well.
Delicious food and great service! My favorite the ‘green curry’ with chicken as amazing as always. Orange chicken was perfect crunchy outside and moist inside.
I used to go this restaurant allll the time before covid. I finally got back recently. The staff is still very friendly, while being good about not hovering and constantly inquiring about the check.I love how convenient the location is (near three metro stops-Archives/metro center/federal triangle- the movie theater, and museums). Also, I've brought tons of people with me and nobody has ever disliked the food. There are tasteful decorations and ample space between tables.Wheel chair accessible
Location was nice. We ordered spring rolls and pork dumplings as starters and both were very delicious. Our main courses (stir-fried noodles with broccoli and chicken and chicken teriyaki with rice) was also good but not special. You get a free glass of cold water in the beginning and the waitress refilled it very often. One negative point: As we have just finished our main courses we directly got the bill and weren‘t asked if we like a dessert or something else to drink.
