Aroi Thai is my neighborhood comfort option and I love it. I have my go-to's but their entire menu is great. The one small downside is their hours are a bit unpredictable. But when they are open, it's well worth it! Good options for vegetarians.
Love their service, awesome spot to avoid cooking at night. Outside setting and pet friendly.
The food was yummy and very fast! I feel that they needed more than one person making sushi on a busy Saturday night. They do a lot of take-out. Thai came out quickly(expected); sushi took longer. Would highly recommend
This place used to be one of our go-tos for takeout, but it's taken a nosedive recently.Maybe it's under new management. I don't know. What I know is that they changed the menu and removed some of our favorite dishes, like the vegetable tempura. What I also know is that their curries have become almost flavorless. But tonight was our worst experience with them. We ordered spring rolls, pad thai, and a spicy salmon roll--all items we've ordered before and enjoyed. The spicy salmon roll was not spicy; I'm pretty sure they got our order wrong and gave us a regular salmon roll. One of our spring rolls was burnt on the bottom. But the biggest disappointment was the pad thai. It had no eggs, almost no spring onions, and basically no flavor or kick. The noodles were all stuck together. It came with a lime that was dry and almost rotten. It was a disaster that we couldn't bring ourselves to finish.
Nice cute little restaurant. Delicious food. Would recommend the ramen and curry p
I love this place, been coming here since I was a kid and have been a regular ever since. The sushi is delicious and fresh, the entrées are huge (the pork fried rice is a small mountain), and they have some nice drinks, my personal favorite being the pineapple mint. Service is friendly and accommodating for pickups and dine-in.
2nd Review: Fast forward two weeks. This place has proven inconsistent. I ordered the chicken pad Thai again. Of course I was looking forward to it, with high expectations. I was disappointed to find it dry and overcooked as if it had been sitting out all day.It was packed differently in a small flat plastic container instead of the larger styrofoam bowl which seemed to lock in moisture and keep the noodles soft (like the first time). Which may not have mattered because it was obviously overcooked and likely not prepared fresh.1st Review: I ordered the chicken pad Thai. It was well prepared, quality ingredients, fresh chicken, sprouts, scallions and peanuts and fresh noodles. Decent portion size. Good value. I was actually satisfied with a delivery order this time...its been a while. Truth is, Uber Eats is getting more expensive while restaurants in this city are obviously skimping on quantity and quality these days.
Aroi is my go to for Thai delivery, the price is fair and I think I get what I pay for. I will say it has not always been a home run but I will continue ordering from them. Their Pad Se Ew was really delicious, the pad Thai has been good but very hit or miss in terms of quality, and their panang curry is well flavored.
Best Thai in DC by far and much cheaper than others. Service is also super quick (usually within 20 mins for a takeout order). I get the green curry and tofu/veg and it has a ton of vegetables and is very filling.
