A favorite neighborhood spot to have a great (and well garnished!) tiki drink on the patio. I love the Dan Dan noodles.
Really fun drinks! It had a nice ambiance both inside and outside. Food and drinks were good, service could have been better. We asked for recommends and didn’t really get any. Our food was coming out at all different times, some of it didn’t come for over an hour so we had to ask about it. We were told they forgot to put it in, but did then. Then they brought it out and forgot some of it a second time.Oh actually there was a really annoying part. My review was 4 stars until I remembered this.The hostess was pretty rude. When we told her there would only be 5 of us instead of 6, she rolled her eyes at us. 2 hours later as we’re waiting for our second round of forgotten food, our 6th friend stopped by since we were there for so long. There were two open tables so we borrowed a chair.The hostess instantly comes out and asks if we want to change our reservation for 6 and move tables. We said we can do that but didn’t want to move tables, we weren’t staying much longer.She said our friend had to sit inside at the bar by himself because she has reservations that she needed those chairs for reservations. So we quickly finished our food and drinks, but then one of our friends left, so the friend at the bar joined us and we got one more round of drinks. Over the next half hour, there were no new reservations at that table; they didn’t even clean it off because they knew there were no more people coming.So she pretty much just wanted to come over and make a big deal out of us changing our reservations and making us jump through hoops for no reason. I would actually wouldn’t go back due to the overall service.
Archipelago is the only bar in the DMV that makes true tiki cocktails we've found so far.We ran the gamut and ordered a ton of drinks and food. Pearl Diver, Banana Daiquiri, and Zombie were ALL drinks I would get again in a heartbeat. Truck Bed Funeral is good if you like mezcal, but was too smoky for my personal taste. (That's on me for ordering - they made it very well.) I love that the drinks were also served with the classic garnishes and in each of their own unique mugs. A lot of their merch is unavailable online, but you can pick some up in-person.For the food? Szechuan spice was a lot more toned down in the Dan Dan noodles, wonton, + chicken, but those were still tasty. Nachos were really tall + very satisfying. I would skip out on the brussel sprouts since they were really over seasoned/salted. Hotdog bun was alright. Our fav plate was the eggplant. ??TL;DR: if you're into tiki cocktails + have been to well-known places around the US, then this place will definitely scratch that itch for you. It will probably be a must-go place for drinks when we are in DC.
Cute tiki bar with a low-key vibe. Nachos are a huge serving. Drinks were great, the Mai Tai was quite strong but delicious.
Awesome ambiance. If you are looking for the most authentic tiki experience in the DC area this is the place to go.They have all the favorites, zombies, mai tais, painkillers, daquaris. Stephen was a great host for the evening, very cordial, took us down the tiki rabbit hole. Cannot stress enough how relaxing but engaging the evening was.Can't wait to go back!5/5 will be back soon...

Every dish we ordered was so tasty!! Loved the Crab Rangoon ? dip!! The tiki drinks were quite yummy and our server was great at providing exceptional recommendations!! Will certainly come back on my next trip!!

What a fantastic tiki bar! Drinks were up to my standards, (bartender knew the classics in addition to their custom menu) but it was the food that really blew me away. Everything was delicious!
