Excellent Middle Eastern food with outstanding ambiance and service! We stopped by on a Thursday evening with no reservation and the General Manager, Isabella, made us feel so welcome; as if we were no trouble at all. And Robert was a great help in recommending delicious dishes. The dishes we had were so full of taste: Harissa hummus with spicy taboon bread got us off to a great start, along with the roasted Cauliflower mezzo. The spice, coupled with the pomegranate and mint was really something. Isabella brought a fantastic red wine to match the spice! Robert then recommended the Shish Batinjan (eggplant skewers with chickpea purée)…the flavors here really complimented each other…a deep grilled eggplant with mild chickpea…and again, a hint of mint. Really outstanding. Ala has a wonderful patio even on a night that rain finally set in…creating a very friendly, intimate atmosphere. Kudos to all, especially Isabella, Robert and the wonderful chef(s)! We will tell our friends and come back! Thank you!

So good! Had brunch on the beautiful patio. Unlimited make your own mimosas with several juice options and you pick one choice from each course. Everything was excellent and we left absolutely stuffed. The patio has a retractable cover which they opened when the sun became too much. You are given 90 minutes per reservation which was more than enough time to fully enjoy the meal. It is pricey, but worth it for the experience and an occasional splurge.

This is by far the best restaurant in DC! I go out to eat a lot so claiming this is huge. The aesthetics/ design is so beautiful. I felt like I was transported to a garden! The customer service was perfect! Our server gave us great suggestions and was always checking in.The food was to die for! From the meats, to the pita and even the puffy bread they serve…perfect ?? ?

The short ribs were INCREDIBLE, Mante was delicious, Feci - it was all fantastic. Best Mediterranean cuisine I have had in a very long time. Cocktails are also spectacular.Upscale atmosphere and a must eat if you are in the area.

Our visit was on a Sunday / Bottomless brunch. The food was excellent, a variety of quality Mediterranean food. Desserts were also really good, especially the chocolate mousse. Bugrahan and the rest of the staff did an amazing job! Definitely recommend a visit

We got brunch here! Bottomless mimosa made me 70% drunk…We ordered different snack, egg, and dessert for our own and shared with each other, so that we almost tried whole brunch menu! The food is great and the environment is lovely!

Fresh food and coffee! During the week the coffee shop is open and during the evening and weekends the restaurant is open. Beautiful outdoor patio seating and a refined indoor dining area. The coffee shop has stuffed croissants and other small bites to eat like grape leaves and hummus. There is a small boutique in the shop where you can buy premixed cocktails to go, wine, beer, spices, and all sorts of lovely Turkish and Mediterranean products for sale! They helped me put together a gift for a friend.

We went for the brunch and the food was really bad. No fresh and tasteless. The Spinach bourekas was awful: chewy, dry and hard to swallow. The caraway toast was bland and it is a bit of a misnomer to call it a dessert. The cardamom latte and mimosas were the only edible products. Nice waitress, though. But don’t go.

Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the short ribs, halloumi, manti, and pistachio baklava. The pandora and pekmez cocktails were wonderful. Ali was so helpful, friendly, and attentive. Definitely coming back!

Fantastic service and the best food! highly recommend!
