Went for the Turnstile: Love Connection Tour, the staff was very nice and security was extremely helpful to people in the pit. Loved the atmosphere and soundstage at the venue. The lighting was great. Overall a wonderful experience. I can look forward to going to more events at this location.
I believe it was my second time at this club and it was a great time! Context - I went to a pride/DJ/ drag show event, but I believe it’s a concert venue in the DC area. Security - I believe they have a metal detector and they check your bags so be prepared and consider that from a time management standpoint. Venue- it’s huge with multiple levels including bars, bathrooms and places to stand/dance/watch. I heard there’s a lower level, but last night I was just on the balcony and main floor near the stage. Vibe - loved the mood and energy. It was packed around 11PM EST even though it started at 10PM. There’s was free water, disco ball, alcohol, lights, go-go dancers and people in the mood to have a fun night. Overall, I would recommend this place for a night out.
Amazing venue, been here twice so far. Would definitely see a show here. Bring ear plugs, very loud, but good sound. Drinks are expensive, 9 dollars for a shot of Jack Daniels. Friendly staff.
What an awesome venue! I recently saw one of my favorite bands here and was blown away! The sound in this club is amazing! You can feel every beat and note. Also, great staff! Keeping it safe, but fun. ????
First time I went to the 930 Club was the one on F Street in 1990. I was a senior in high school and went to see the Ocean Blue perform. They encored with the Smiths' "There is a Light that Never Goes Out" that night. The experience was incredible and indelible. The energy in that small crowded space embodied everything about live music that I enjoyed and was such a milestone for me in my young musical journey. When they moved to their current location a few years later, I was dubious about how it would be. But it didn't disappoint. I saw countless shows there from Radiohead, Smashing Pumpkins, Morphine, and so many more. It somehow had the same intimate energy even in such a larger space. Now back after 2 decades in California, I have come to appreciate it even more. Recently saw Caribou and the Midnight and both shows were epic. Great sound, and always can get a good angle on the stage.Look forward to enjoying many more shows here in the years to come.
Cozy venue with multiple bars and some food options. Parking is only a block or two away and there are options for food right nearby within walking distance. The ticket checking process was smooth and they even checked a camera that was deemed "professional" for free during the show.
FYI Your ticket may say 6:30 or 7 but the show starts 8:30ish. Plan accordingly. Iconic venue that should not be missed when in DC. Reminds me of the old CBGB's in NYC.
The show was great. Bar service was quick and reasonably priced for a venue. The staff was quick to get us through the door as it was cold out. Coat check was helpful and speedy, the 2 bucks was worth it. The building was clean. All around great experience, and great lineup at the venue in the future
Great venue! Fast service, great bands, great sound system! Sometimes difficult to get upstairs for seating when crowded. Also, VERY strict masking, gotta keep it on while drinking (lift it up).
Terrible venue & staff are very rude. Andrew the "manager" with the tiny beanie personally rummages through the crowds to throw out anyone he considers not showing him respect. They are horribly strict with masks and yet have everyone touch the same surface when applying the drink stamps.... I mean come on use some common sense if you're going to be totalitarian on COVID. Plus drinks are very expensive even for light beer. AVOID AT ALL COST OF FUN.
