It's painful to order in person here and you'll very likely wait a very long time if there's even just a few people ahead of you. They don't seem to have a process to speed it along. However, once you do eventually get your order in, it comes out quickly and is quite good. If they could just fix the in person ordering they'd earn another star.
Overpriced breakfast and lunch fare in Westport, an artsy town on the Connecticut Gold coast which is close to the Long Island Sound. Staff was nice.
I had a problem w the restaurant 6 months ago over masks so I stopped going. I started going back about two weeks ago. First, the owners hire a “handicapped” greeter who is very sweet and nice. Second, the coffee is delicious, they use a great brand, not a typical over the counter brand. I like a simple breakfast so I get a blueberry muffin. They are insanely great, and always fresh. Sometimes I walk in just as they come out of the muffin. Lol, wow, delicious. To be honest, I wsit 15 minutes till they set a big but they are great. The staff are all very nice kids. Perhaps a tad disorganized but the place is fairly new and w covid, let’s give them a break. 5 stars, quality spot. I’ve read some people complaining about price. We can no longer compare prices today w a year ago. They’re up everywhere. The restaurant is a great addition to Westport.
Staff were all extremely friendly. I was surprised by the low quality of the espresso drinks. It seemed like they were using normal coffee, just ground more finely. But we enjoyed the brunch food items very much.
Ordered a make your own salad to go. When i got home they forgot to add the protein i selected/paid for and the avocado that I added for $2 was just 2 tiny slices... It looks like they put no effort in.
The food was good but pricey. My order was wrong in a couple ways and there was confusion about the coffee. Other than that, all was good. The heated outdoor seating is nice on a cold day.
Wonderful spot for breakfast or lunch. Great outdoor eating even though getting colder, heaters work great. Food is fresh and delicious. Good amount of choices for different diets with many healthy options.
Hands down, they have the BEST Italian Wedding Soup I have ever had.. What a lovely gem of a spot and a wonderful owner. If you have not yet tried The Porch at Christie's, you must!!
The service at The Porch is exactly why people need to skip the Starbucks drive thru and support a local business. Andrea could not have been more gracious and accommodating this morning when my 7 year old had a minor breakdown when she learned the were out of cinnamon buns. Andrea was so kind and understanding and helped me transition my very sensitive daughter back to happy. It saved our school drop off! Thanks Andrea.
Crowd (kids getting smoothies) + Service + price = no thanks.Coffee was good
