First time here and I have no complaints. We sat in the bar and the bartender came to our table promptly and took our orders. Food came out after a normal wait and was plated nicely.I had the Braised Short Ribs over cauliflower mash and thoroughly enjoyed it. It wasn't too heavy but do wish it had a little emote veggies. The taste was spot on.Only complaint was from my friends who ordered double cocktails and felt the alcohol was lacking.Other than that we had a great time and food was good. Would definitely check out again without hesitation.
Stopped in Westport to break up a car trip and came across the restaurant walking around. Had a yummy lunch sitting outside. Friendly, helpful staff.
The salads are excellent . Although they have a menu that is both interesting and diverse.
One of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Had to jump on the wait lost for a busy Saturday afternoon. Was seated and Constance was our waitress. She has such a great personality, and good energy. When she came up to the table it was almost like we were her girlfriends having dinner at her place. We ordered the sangria which she mentioned that she makes with a peach purée and it was excellent! We ordered the Mediterranean salad with shrimp which was so good! The variety in the salad is what I love to see on my plate. We also ordered the spaghetti squash pasta which was so rich in flavor it was hard to miss the protein or actual pasta in this dish. It didn’t need any of that! We also ordered the fried calamari. I am a dipper and I appreciated the three sauce variety. The calamari was also pretty large and was so good. The atmosphere was nice, very casual, very clean and all of the staff was very friendly. But not overly friendly in a commercial way. It was a really great meal and we can’t wait to come back!
My daughter Pam and I wanted to try a newrestaurant in Westport as I’ve eaten in a few there but never at the Spotted Horse! It sure was a surprise as the food was really delicious ! I had the best Chicken Caprese sandwich ! I love ❤️ ice tea and that also was wonderful ! Pam ordered a cheeseburger which she ate the whole thing because it was too good to leave behind ! We also had the most wonderful and friendly waitress called Ana ! I would highly recommend this restaurant because I’ve been eating in a lot of them and can judge a good one just by the food ! I ate here a couple of weeks ago and while I enjoyed the food, I cannot stress enough how good of a waitress Jenna was. She was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.
Good food. Go when you have built sufficient calorie reserve. High table seating is really convenient.
Went for a family meal and it was great. Pretzels to start that came with beer cheese and mustard. My partner and I split the blackened fish tacos and Mediterranean salad which were both solid.
The food was good but their card reader broke and decided to write down my credit card details on paper and just keep in sight by the cash register without asking me. This made me very uncomfortable.
Great food, staff, and service. Always an enjoyable experience from meals with young children to meals with friends.
