From the enchiladas, to the greatest Horchata, to the family who runs this restaurant, everything about this spot is delicious and warm and welcoming! We were treated like friends sitting down for Sunday dinner. Highly recommend the verde creamy enchiladas and the Horchata (perfectly sweet and cinnamon) and want to try one of their pork chop/steak specials next time.5 stars!!!!
This place is excellent. After years of searching, we finally found the best tacos and margaritas in the area. The margaritas were very tasty, plentiful of tequila, and not too sweet. The tacos were full of meat and flavor and the steak taco was the best thing I have had in a long time. The service was excellent and the vibe was strong. Overall, I could not say better things about this place.
Mexican food enthusiast! Husband and I decided to try this Mexican Restaurant because of the great reviews given but unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with the food and margarita. We were both greeted very nicely by, I believe the owner of the restaurant followed by a very pleasant male waiter that informed us it was happy hour. We ordered a classic margarita on the rocks, which was extremely tart and not flavorful. I ordered another margarita and asked waiter if he could ask to add more triple sec to the drink. Second drink was better but not great. My husband ordered a bottle beer, you could never go wrong with that! For my dish, I ordered chicken enchiladas with verde (green) sauce, the sauce was extremely salty and the chicken was unseasoned, it was plain pulled chicken wrapped up in a corn tortilla. Waiter was very accommodating and very apologetic, offering another dish. I ordered, chicken fajitas, not salty but unseasoned. My Husband ordered a hamburger which he also was not impressed with. Definitely, not authentic Mexican food, unless it is catering to the location of restaurant.
Authentic, flavorful, great portions for kids and adults alike. Owners are super helpful and friendly. We will certainly be back!

Great Mexican restaurant. Been here’s a few times especially if I am going to the movies or to the Music Theatre of CT. Great chips and salsa . Great tacos, enchiladas and other appetizers Wonderful entrees that are dosed in salsa and spices. Big selection of entrees. Great flan for dessert. Interesting Mexican art work all around built into the walls. Nice people who checked up on me regularly. Serves outdoors in summer.
Best place around hands down. I have been there multiple times and they have never let me down. The food, drinks, staff, everything is amazing.
We used to go to Vila Del Sol by Main Street, and it’s comforting to know that they have continued the tradition of incredibly kind staff and excellent food here at Mexica. From the classics to more traditional dishes, any option you choose will be delicious.
We arrived with plenty of time for an efficient restaurant to serve us before we had to get to a nearby movie, but we also warned the waitress of our situation. As time passed, we got nervous and reminded the server of our deadline. Nevertheless, the food arrived minutes before we had to walk out the door, and my burrito was cold. We won’t be going back.
