The best thing I can say is the location but that has little to do with the restaurant. Every time we have come thereâs an issue. The hostesses never know what time the restaurant serves till or where you can be served, whether itâs brunch, dinner. Weâve gone at night and we were served at the high tops and other times we were told that they canât serve there. We had reservations for brunch on Sunday at 2:30 and when we checked in were told the kitchen was closed. The website says brunch is till 3:00 if this isnât the case why were we able to make a reservation at 2:30 if you werenât serving at all. I find these inconsistencies are ridiculous and the staff rude and unprofessional. We were rushed at brunch to put in our order and treated badly by the server who acted as if he was being inconvenienced. The only ones being inconvenienced were us. Your staff is appalling. We have being coming to Longshore inn for years and itâs ashamed that this restaurant is such a disappointment. The other restaurants were run much better. You need to get better staff or train them better because you will be the next to go..
To say this restaurant is an exceptional is an understatement!!! We were stuck in traffic and arrived 25 min late. When I called the restaurant to advise of the delay, Lilyâs response was not to rush and just to get there safe. It was the perfect, professional and kind response. The restaurant itself is stunning. Modern and overlooking the water. They did a beautiful job on the interior. The staff was incredible. Attentive, personable and well paced. We never felt rushed nor felt like we were waiting. This brings us to the food, which was perfection. I had the beet appetizer, my father and uncle had oysters and my mother had fried artichoke. The plating was beautiful and the flavors were harmonious. For my entree we all had halibut cheeks and they were savory and delicious. It was my birthday so we all got dessert, all house made with an upscale twist. I am not usually one to order a molten chocolate cake, but this one is absolutely worth eating. My Uncle ordered the white chocolate martini and substituted rum for vodka. It was so good he ordered a second since my mom drank his! After dinner everything was so amazing, we asked to speak to the manager who was humble and grateful for the positive feedback. My family and I eat out often and dined in acclaimed restaurants throughout the world, La Plage is a top contender for my favorite. We will be back next month! If not apparent, I would highly recommend La Plage as a full package of excellent service, savory food and relaxing atmosphere.

Fabulous views from the upper patio! Service was excellent. I would definitely go back for the views and vibe.
Service was a little erratic though friendly. We received a complimentary glass of champagne because it was our wedding anniversary. Nice gesture. It was a little too noisy for a romantic dinner. The food was average.
La Plage is always excellent. The food, staff and views are amazing. I had the John Dory and it was so good! My friend had the Halibut and I tasted it---Wow! So juicy and delicious! Don't change one thing! Cheers!

Our first time dining here. Had a great table overlooking Long Island sound. Nice large shrimp in the shrimp cocktail. Lobster roll was good as was desert. Highly recommended for the ambiance.
