We went out for dinner on a Sunday night and were surprised by such a quaint feeling right next to the fireplace on the covered porch. Great jazz and outstanding service provided by SARA Oh I forgot… burgers, mussels, soups were great ?
So disappointing! We went there for celebration dinner with my family of six. The service was fine and he was very attentive. My son ordered a fillet medium rare. It arrived very well done. he sent it back and the next steak arrived after we were all quite done and it was ridiculously rare, ineditable! :(Very cute place to go for a drink, skip the food!
My husband and I were excited to try Hudson Malone for a long overdue date night. We were so disappointed. The poor experience started with no availability in parking in the lot across the street and we had to circle several times looking for a spot. The next issue was the host. The host looked to be about 22 years old and was frazzled and just told everyone to get a drink at the bar while they waited. I made a reservation and didn’t want to wait at the bar. The hostess was just complaining she was cold as she wore a sleeveless dress and the door constantly opens and closes and it was freezing.Once we were finally sat, the interior is nice. We shared the risotto balls, my husband had a steak and I had the branzino. The food was a solid B but was hoping for an A for these prices. Our waiter was super busy but acted like we were annoying him when we asked to order another round of drinks, dessert and get the check.Honestly the tone set by the host and hostess just set the whole experience off poorly. When there’s a wait despite reservations, be gracious about it, pass some comped apps, tell a joke… something.This was a disappointment as there are a handful of other great restaurants in Westport.
Overpriced and long wait for everything. We made reservations for a Saturday evening and even with the reservation it took 40 minutes to get seated. I ordered a cosmopolitan which came quickly but in a small glass (paid full price for it!). I ordered 1/2 dozen oysters to start which took 30 minutes to be brought out. We placed our meal order at the same time as the appetizer, however our meal took another 40 minutes after they cleaned up the appetizer. My husband only ordered a side of fries and I ordered halibut with risotto. The portion of both was small and the risotto was undercooked. We decided to order a dessert, tiramisu & gelato, which took another 25 to be brought out.Although the ambiance is nice and the hosts and servers were very friendly, I cannot say we had a good experience with the long wait for everything and the overpriced menu. I would not visit again.
This is becoming our go to place. The staff.. especially Angelina and Quinn, make the experience. Food and drinks are wonderful and the prices are fair. Fun specials and desserts round out the night. They even called to thank us for coming?!?
My initial review that was pending review by Tripadvisor disappeared. I wrote about our experience in questioning a $41 lobster dish.. which was, with no exaggeration, about 1/2 ounce of lobster meat (1/2 of a lb lobster with claw missing. A newer waiter which we never had said "calm down lady" and manager asked us to name a price we'd be willing to pay"! We were regulars, almost weekly in the 2 years since they arrived in Westport. Manager said "if you have a problem don't come back". We were shocked. In no way were we upset. To the contrary we whispered and politely said we just want you to look at the dish the runner put on our table ... We paid bill in full and will never return. The waiter and so called manager were awful.. like nothing we had ever encountered. Our message to owner to call us went unanswered.
I went here for brunch and had a great time. The design of the place was friendly and classy. The staff was kind and attentive, and best yet, the food was terrific.
The food and quality is very good, but smaller portions and limited choices. The biggest disspointment is the drink sizes. They literally serve specialty drinks in thimble size glasses, almost comical. The staff is great and service is great.
We had Sunday dinner with our family here and we were quite disappointed in the service.The food was good how ever we were sat on the closed and sort of heated outdoor patio in the dead of winter. Even though they had plenty of space indoors and we ended up being the only table outside. It was very awkward and cold.We had to chase the waiter down after waiting a good 20 minutes. The food came out before the drinks. And the person pouring water basically washed his hands in the process.Overall food was good but probably won’t come back.
Went here a week ago. Atmosphere was great, a bit noisy, but not too bad. I had the veal chop which was amazing, but my husband's steak had a great amount of fat and grizzle. Was a bit disappointed given the cost.
