We were looking for a new place to grab a bite and decided upon this place. My girlfriend made reservations and we were seated immediately upon entering. We actually sat in the patio area but they also had a bar area with table as well. We started out with a half dozen oysters which were absolutely delicious! For our entrees I had the crispy salmon and my girlfriend had the Branzino. I ordered a side dish of sautéed spinach to go with my salmon. The meal was so good. The salmon skin was crispy which added some texture to my meal and the spinach was sautéed in garlic sauce which was out of this world. My girlfriend really enjoyed her branzino it was perfectly cooked. Definitely a good spot to check out again.

109 Main is a wanna be restaurant in this shopping center. The food is not worth the trip. Woman owner of this business is both arrogant and thinks she’s doing her customers a favor. I have seen her interact with people band she’s in the wrong business. If I could give no stars I would!

Just because you open a restaurant in Westport doesn’t mean you can compete with the good ones in this town. This one misses the mark by a long shot Food is so so and service is poor. Don’t think they should make it competing with the others in town.

Beautiful atmosphere, friendly attentive staff. Fantastic food. We started with fried calamari prepared to perfection. I had seafood gumbo girlfriend had short ribs and polenta. Running out of superlatives. We were treated like a guest in someone’s home. A memorable meal. Will definitely be back soon.

If you are looking for a relaxing comfortable spot with good food, drink and a wonderful staff, this is it. Locally owned with great music in the background, 190 Main makes you feel at home with a great atmosphere and informal environment. The perfect local spot to grab a bite and catch up with friends.

I know before anyone checks that a question hangs over 190 regarding local officials and clean up report... but like another of the reviewers I and friends and wife have eaten there several times (more than 4) and we are all still walking around. I'd also like to question the reviewer who mentions Stop and Shop 'French bread' I didn't know that corp had shops in Paris for the warmed brown and white served on a slate with butter and a sprinkle of salt is a terrific taster while awaiting generous drinks. Their menu is a treat with many different appealing choices. I've tucked into Seafood Gumbo there both as an appetizer and a main a number of times. Try the Pad Tai or the mussels - delish... Service is great, love Mahogany... And unlike others this will last and it ain't going away... Music Wednesday and Thursday.. Franklin S

Worst experience ever in a restaurant! Arrived at 7 on Friday night for dinner. Served us Stop and Shop “French” bread. Appetizers came at 8:15- wait staff seemed to be hiding from the diners with no answers on food service. Left at 9 with still no entree served. Went to Shake Shack for a quick bite.

We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday. We wanted to like this place, as we are locals and live nearby. It appeared that a small celebration of about 8 people was happening on the patio, so we sat inside, near the bar. Our waitress was sweet, but clearly new. We had to repeatedly ask for items like salad dressing, lemon, ketchup, etc. Management seemed very indifferent- I think they were participating in the party on the patio- drinks were flying around. It was at least 20 minutes before we got our meals. We ordered a salad with salmon and a fish sandwich with herbs, lettuce, tomato lemon aioli. The fish sandwich was extremely soggy- not sure where all the liquid was coming from and it was loaded with so much iceberg lettuce, I had to remove some. The lemon aioli was not- Im guessing it was just a bland mayo and no herbs to speak of. The french fries were golden and crispy, I'll give them that. The salad with salmon was just was ok. Since we were the only people there, we were surprised that our our service was so mediocre. I also wonder about the kitchen- I recall the former owner said there wasn't a great deal of space for a proper kitchen. Maybe it was expanded? Nether of us felt very well after these meals and will probably not return or recommend this place. They should scale down this menu, concentrate on quality and focus on better service. It seems like other reviewers here share our concerns!

I'm sad to read some of these former reviews, because my 3 different friends and husband and I on 4 separate visits in 2 months, to keep trying it out, absolutely love this place as our cozy new hangout for DELICIOUS food with an incredibly diverse menu we have too many choices we love. It's a tiny little house-store with just a few pretty white leather and turquoise booths facing the bar, but it's homey, with very fair prices, and SO friendly that people of all kinds talk to each other, in part due to the owner and his lovely daughters, relatives and friends are warm and welcoming wait staff. Now I have every girls lunch or meeting here, and my husband loved it for dinner! Hard to pick, but my favorite of the tapas, salads, continental, Spanish, American and Thai selections - might be the shrimp and lobster in lemony remoulade sauce app. My husband tried out their unique specialty in the region of Southern food, salivating over every morsel of light fried chicken and waffles dish. Everyone we chatted with in the cozy room or covered outside porch pretty in the sun or night sky, was raving about each of their diverse dishes, Everything came out in perfect timing. Plus, they have music 3 weeknights nights per week! We're really frequent and critical restaurant goers, and love classy and elegant places too, but we loathe all the NYC-style, overpriced, pretentious restaurant takeover of coastal Westport. 190 Main returns us to that small town, friendly feeling with yummy food and caring staff.
