Stowes, our favorite seafood place! Not today!Had the Fried shrimp and french fries which was fabulous! Also had calamari and onion rings, a complete disappointment! The onion rings were over fried and burnt. The calamari was terrible. The breading was thick and overly salty. The calamari rings were tender but the mushy breading did not stick to the fish. If the calamari had the same coating as the shrimp they would have been perfect! The restaurant was empty (unusual) the service was extremely slow and the staff were just standing there complaining that it was a slow day!We will not let this less than enjoyable visit stop us from coming back!!!!Re think the calamari!!!!

Everything i had was great , everytime ive gone ! Today we got 2 treasure chests split among 4 people ! The best fried seafood in Connecticut !

Stowe's Seafood will always get a 5 star review from me! This is one of the BEST seafood places in West Haven! The quality is spot on, the breading for fried fish and shrimp used is always crunch-never soggy, and the flavor is amazing!! I take my dad here a lot and the place is always vibing by the ocean with local seafood lovers! I HIGHLY recommend Stowe's for all of your seafood cravings! I wish they were open all year!

Usually very good but really disappointed with the stuffed clams. I don’t think there were any clams in them at all.. all bread.

Nice little place on the water known for seafood soups and lobster rolls. A food variety of menu items, fries, shrimp, onion rings, rolls, etc. Very tasty gumbo. Limited parking. Great views. Super friendly. Good place to visit.

Authentic place with nice fish’&’chips but even better service. We were there without cash and our cards were not operative for the ATM. The guys just invited us (4 people) for free! Reason? Christmas spirit. Very much appreciated. Excellent decision and very nice food. Thanks to the people serving there!!

The Best sea food in the Airea

Great chowder and fries. Fun setting to eat outdoors!

Cute place but the fish and chips and fried shrimp had absolutely zero flavor! It's as if they just dropped it in batter and fried it up. The lobster bisque was very good. Won't be back wasn't worth the trip for me, I came from NYC because a friend recommended this place. I was very disappointed.

Yum!!! Lobster bisque, lobster roll and fried scallop roll were all to die for!! Wow! My hubby had a stuffed clam and clam chowder with his lobster roll. I could eat this and nothing else for the rest of my life! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. We will be back. Beautiful setting too! Thanks for a great meal and experience, Stowe's!!!
