Great experience for lunch midweek. Very nice relaxed but immaculate decor. Top notch attentive service and delicious plentiful food. Had the grouper special, so glad to be able to get this fish in the Northeast! Friend had lobster grilled cheese, we each found our food to our liking and took home about half our meals. Great view of small Oyster River beach across street.
The best part of this meal was the oysters on the half shell delicious and fresh, we then ordered various fried oysters clams calamari and bay scallops. The fish all tasted fresh and was cooked well The only thing keeping this from being a five-star review is that the breading while crisp and cooked well was under seasoned as were the French fries. The serving portions were very generous and I was able to have two nights of leftovers which were actually better than at the restaurant because I was able to season it myself. Be careful of the wine list as it is constantly changing and ask what they have in stock before you order off the menu as far as wine goes. Overall a very nice experience and will definitely eat there again
Ate here twice in two days because the fresh oysters are simply delectable! So fresh we actually ate two dozens the second time, we basically breathed it down. The fish tacos are really good too, and we had to order it again. Love the ladies working here, very attentive and accommodating. IPA Draft beer was also really good. Dine with a gorgeous view of the sea, simply devine.
Great lunchtime views of the water when you sit outside. The seafood tacos were excellent. The burger we order was good but fell apart and was hard to eat without making a mess. Good serving sizes and the staff is friendly.
Okay here's the good. The wait staff was excellent and very attentive. The restaurant itself was very well done and inviting. The portions were quite large. The bad, the fries and onion rings are tasteless it's like they don't know what salt is. And the shrimp casserole that was recommended was basically shrimp, breadcrumbs and butter and overly rich but not satisfying. The three stars are for how good the wait staff was but the food wasn't. You won't walk away hungry But you won't be satisfied. So if you just like a lot of food that's not good I would recommend it. I don't believe I'll be going back.
This was my first time at Rip Tide. What a Great time!Great atmosphere!The two ladies working the floor were excellent! My waitress gave me excellent suggestions!!!The French onion soup was excellent. It was one of the best that I've had yet and it was what I needed on a cold rainy day. It didn't just fill me up. It warmed me up with a smile.I will be returning with friends!
My gf and I had recently taken a trip to the area and tried to find as many great food spots as we could! On our 2nd day we stopped into this joint for an early dinner. We were greeted with a warm welcome and the vibe was great. Our server Kelsey T made us feel at home right away, she suggested our first round of drinks and they were amazing. She was very attentive throughout the whole meal and kept the drinks coming. The whole experience was awesome. Thank you very much to Kelsey and staff, also Gary was very helpful as well
