I don't get it. I tried calling and the number is no longer in service. Drove by there and they were opened. Went in, asked if they changed their number. They said no. We no longer have a phone. I ask why and they Said they were too busy. I ordered two sandwiches. Gave them my atm card and they said it's cash only. $20 even...something isn't right with this place.
Their pizzas are excellent, especially their fresh tomato pizza, which is my favorite. Their spices are just right and you can choose among different crusts (thin, thick, etc) Their other items are also good. (I really enjoyed their stuffed het peppers.) I hope they reopen soon since they have been closed for quite a while. We have a number of pizza places in West Haven but ONLY THE BEST really is one of the best.
BEST FOOD for Italian! Hands-down, Max is the best and has been for about 30 years now! Thank you so much for such good food and great service!!!?Always!!! Can’t say Enough GOOD things about “Only the best”. EVERYONE WE Know GOES there & LOVES it!!! ???percent!!!
Only the Best. Couldn't be a better name. The last 6 weekends I have spent at my mom's house due to her declining health, and Max has been simply incredible. The food is so fresh. They definitely don't cut corners. Always makes me smile. Thanks for everything guys. -Red Velvet.
Totally new staff. Food taste and quality has gone downhill. Not a lot of respect for the consumer here either. Food and service USED to be so good but unfortunately that is not the case any longer. Good luck to Max
Worst restaurant in Campbell ave ,unprofessional to the max, watch out!!! With the cook shouldn’t be in the kitchen if he don’t love what he do.. Worst experience
Usually good. But today we ordered 2 routine meals, drove out of town for pick up & were then told they were out of the 2nd meal vs on the phone. Then told no options for 2nd meal replacement because its 3:45PM & they are closing at 4PM which is not on the website or a problem we ever experienced. Also stated only having a availability of the 2nd meal on a day of the week that we have never ordered, due to work. Door was locked as soon as we left. No reason or concern provided for not advising us of both issues on phone.

I love only the best pizza. I use to live across the street max is a wonderful man his whole family is. My son Autistic. And loves max I give it. 10 stars. Excellent ????????
