The service was great and the atmosphere was great. The food was just sub par. I have had much better but it was still good never the less. I would probably go back.
I'd heard good things about this place and had wanted to come here for a while, so when I had the opportunity to come here, I quickly took it! It's near the University of New Haven and is convenient for meetings. The restaurant is set in a plaza and can be easy to miss, but don't let appearances deceive you. The interior is classy and welcoming without being overbearing, the staff are super friendly, and the food is really good! I had an eggplant parmigiana sandwich and it was delicious, although I wish they'd included more eggplant and cheese. Otherwise, everything was fantastic!
Food is top notch. Full bar. Staff is amazing. You will love their pizzas. I definitely will be returning.
2nd time my friend and I stopped in for a quick bite at the bar. Friendly patrons, excellent chopped salad, and good wine. When I got home I didn't have my phone & thought I had lost it in the parking lot. The staff actually went out to look for it.
Ahhh Lorenzo's!!! I enjoyed this dining experience. We decided to sit at the bar. It took a moment for the bartender to acknowledge us as she was busy bringing food to her tables. I ordered a margarita as always and nope!! Not made correctly and I had to send the drink back due to the fact that is was not shaken. Now as a bartender I know anything made with citrus you have to shake it up. You could tell all ingredients were poured over the ice and not shaken at all. We ordered our favorite dishes Chicken marsala and zuppe de clam!! Both dishes absolutely delicious!! We will be back for more!!
very good place to eat. Got the surf surf and turf wow. wow it was awesome. I eat alot of great places across country. Watress/ Bartender was very polite. would go there again if in the area
Absolutely delicious! I go there twice a month for dinner. I also visit Lorenzo's deli take out for desserts and stuffed breads. Plus, I'm six towns away, it's worth the trip. Great food, atmosphere, and the people working there are very nice.
Loved their pizza over 20 years. Not any more. They've changed the dough. It's very thin, cardboard-like, and flavorless. The entree, however was delicious. Why mess up a good thing?

It saddens me to have to write this review, as we frequently dined for many years at Lorenzo’s and have had positive experiences, but we recently ran into a huge letdown that needs to be noted. I booked my baby shower there back in November for end of February, receipt of deposit and everything. I had a guest count of 80 people and was really looking forward to using their back party room, which was lovely and could accommodate a group that size. I called 10 days before my shower to give final headcount, and somehow they “couldn’t find my name in the books.” As you can imagine I was infuriated, and to make a long story short, nobody seemed to take the blame for this and their way to solve the problem was to either cram 80 people in their dining room (which I’d you’ve dined there, there’s no way that would’ve been comfortable), along with two other parties being there, or to offer catering at a hall. Neither of those options were what I envisioned for my baby shower, especially when I had been planning on using Lorenzo’s back room since November. There was zero communication on their end for months, and luckily I called 10 days before and not a week before, only to find out this extremely disappointing and unprofessional circumstance. I was left with no choice but to cancel, and while they did give me my deposit back, there was no sincere apology on their end, and now I had to scramble and try to find a new venue that would hold 80 guests who were expecting to show up on a certain day. Please think carefully before booking any event with them in the future, as I have never encountered an issue this big at another restaurant or venue.
