Nice dinner with a big menu, which gives many options. The staff was great, very friendly, and quick. The food portions were big and you definitely get your money's worth here. I got the fajita omelette mine without mushroom but put jalapeno and tomato in, and friend also order fitness quesadilla. Both were delicious and I would recommend this place if your in the New Haven area.
Ordered fries and a eggncheese sandwich around 9:45pm. When the food arrived the fries look and tasted like they have been on the stove since 8am and have been cooked 3x throughout the day. Sandwich was decent… ps this is not the first time I’ve gotten day old fries
The Elm Diner is a great old school Greek diner. For breakfast and for lunch, it can't be beat. Good food, reasonable prices and a great atmosphere.
Exactly what I’m looking for in a diner: good food, huge portions, affordable prices, open late! Stopped in here for curly fries and an oreo milkshake at 11pm and left happy!
Very happy, It a great place to eat. Alot of yummy choices and some items that are not offer anywhere else. This my new family favorite place
No wait for a table, service was quick and helpful. Food was okay but pretty bland. Was a little disappointed that they didn’t offer shredded hash browns. Potatoes in the homefries were under seasoned. There was some redemption in how quick the food came out but I’d be okay with a longer wait for some more exciting food.
Great food. The Irish Panini with sweet potato fries and the spinach pie were particularly delicious. They also know how to make a good onion soup. Very affordable and great service.
I had to catch up with some paperwork at lunch. I was seated in a quiet spot, had my order taken quickly, was asked if I wanted everything brought as it was ready (which I did). Food was hot & yummy, and wait staff was friendly and anticipated my needs :-) I definitely will visit again when I am back in the area!
The girl at the desk is rude and careless. I ordered a ham egg and cheese over the phone and arrived within 10 minutes. She told me it will be ready shortly. Another 5 minutes go by and I ask her how much longer because I have to get back to work. She gave me an attitude and said “I’m sorry I don’t want to give you raw food. It’s cooking”. Like are you serious I only asked a question. They used to have a very pleasant and friendly girl at the desk that would literally make my day with her personality. I’m not pleased with this other girl. Bring back the girl with the tattoos. Get rid of the rude smart mouth.
We are new to the city and decided to order in after a busy week unpacking.We found Elm Diner on Uber Eats and gave it a try. The price was affordable and food was quickly prepared, when you have kids waiting for food you know that’s a plus ?They did not disappoint in taste. Food was delicious or as my daughter said yummy Family gave it two thumbs up ?? ??Will definitely order again!
