After I moved to west haven, this place was the first pizzeria that I order pizza from. It was back in August 2018. I ordered over the phone for delivery. I think it was at least 2 or 3 pies. The pizza arrived cold and my house is about 5 minutes from the store so I didnt order for delivery anymore. I learned its best to pick it up from the store and thats what I’ve done after that.I am writing a review now because their pizza is great, but the quality has really gone downhill. If its the first time I would give them another chance but this isnt.Our pizza has been burnt as shown on the photos (from today) and there were pieces of charcoal stuck to the dough before. (The oven needs to be cleaned more often)I just let it go before, but it has been happening more and more. I see a review with the same complaint and this is the final time I will order pizza from here. The food is great here but if there are quality issues over and over, I believe its time to move on. I have kept ordering since it was my closest and local pizzeria, but I’ll explore other pizzerias now.
Steak and cheese is just how you want it. They don't overload it so that you can barely enjoy it. They listen to your preference. Delivery is also on point. Also if you want the best panini of your life, for the price... any one of them is unfathomably succulent!
Normally there's a trade-off with quality if you would like your food delivered, but not with Cappetta's. They never skimp on toppings and the food is always hot and oh-so-good. You do have to wait for your delivery - they usually quote an hour, but it is WELL worth the wait. I just call my order in early and I've never had a complaint. I highly recommend you give them a try.
Ordered a pizza through Uber eats because I have gotten grinders from Cappettas before and they were amazing. I never leave reviews however I felt compelled. I paid almost $40 for a large pizza after tips, taxes and fees and I know I’m paying for the convenience but I’m extremely disappointed that a pizza would be sent out for delivery when it is clearly burnt. If it wasn’t so over cooked I’m sure it would have been great.
Worst tasting Italian food in the tri state area. Place is trash i threw my steak and cheese in the garbage after one bite no flavor bread was soggy disgusting. The next week my buddy called a head of time and still waited 45 minutes while the lady just ignored him. Pizza is also horrendous if you know anything about how Italian food tastes this place is the total opposite. If your in the area theres a place down the road called Lorenzos 10 times better and way fresher.
