The food was amazing!! The Baja fish tacos were the best I've ever had. My husband got the nachos and the flavor was rich! I defiantly want to go again to try more options. The only downside is that it's pretty small and packed and we had to wait about 10 minutes for inside seating. There is outside seating available too. Otherwise it was great!!!
I only recently heard of Frida before I visited for lunch this past weekend, and I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about it! This is such a cute hidden gem in West Hartford. The murals dedicated to Frida Khalo were absolutely beautiful and really stood out. The watermelon mocktail was super refreshing, but when the staff noticed I was going to leave with some still in my glass, they offered to get me a to-go cup, which I thought was so sweet! My boyfriend had a mezcal flight, and we thought it was so cute that they came in little pots. The Colombian style empanadas tasted great - I’ve never had this style of empanada before, but they were mostly filled with potato. Homemade tomatillo and habanero sauces made for a great pairing with these. The queso dip was phenomenal because it had just the right of jalapeño mixed in for flavor, but it wasn’t overly spicy. For my meal, I ordered the Gringa off of the tortillas section. I chose this because I thought pineapple, pastor meat, and cheese were an interesting combination, and it definitely was, so much so that it almost reminded me of apple pie! My boyfriend’s platter of steak and shrimp was delicious, and we loved the rice and refried beans on the side. Our servers were extremely attentive with refilling water and making sure we had everything we needed. Such a great experience!
Enjoyed my visit to Frida's. The food and drinks were good. They feature some authentic dishes. The chef did forget some things from two of the dishes we ordered, but the waitress brought them out when we mentioned it and apologized.
I never liked margaritas, let alone drink much, but boy do they make some good ones. The prices are cheap for lunch in West Hartford and service is always fantastic here too! This was my third visit.10/10 would recommend trying this place out :)
The guacamole was outstanding!! This was a cool little joint as it was well-kept both inside and out. Outdoor dining was perfect for this time of year unfortunately though I took my food to go. My beef burrito was OK and I’m not really sure if that was beef I was eating. Either way I wouldn’t be hesitant in returning for other options on the menu.

So far the best Mexican cuisine in town, I wish I knew this restaurant before. The sopes, the enchiladas, the mole and so...Everything is so fresh, well made and tasteful. Congrats to the kitchen!
The servers were okay, nothing exceptional. I forgot the name of the food I ordered but it was pork covered with cheese served with taco. Let's just say it was not edible. I asked for hot pepper and what I got was far from that. The only good thing they did not charge me for the meal and I never even complained. I took 2 bites and I tried my hardest to keep eating which is why I asked for the pepper. My friend ordered the chicken to the same meal and she said it was just as bad.
Went to their booth at the Hartford Food Festival. Very good, a little slow due to the harassment by the Government food inspectors hassling them, great job State of Connecticut.I had to 2 Pastor Tacos and one Chirizo.
