Went here for my first legal drink back in the '70's and brought my son here tonight for his first legal drink. I was so happy that the vibe is still untouched here after all these years...hell, decades! A warm, friendly place with good drinks, good food and good people!
Uncomfortable and unwelcome atmosphere. Food was beyond bland and the service was rude. Save your time, money and dignity by looking the other way.
Was met a clear case of we don't serve your kind here. Customer service is not for some customers here this was made clear by the Owner he went on the words of ignorance. If you want to be treated like a human don't go here "some customers".

I've lived in Elmwood for years and one of the most familiar places is The Fernwood Restaurant. My daughter and son in law went last week for dinner and fell in love with the place.I went with them for lunch today. And they never disappoint. From the fresh and tasty new England clam chowder, to their meat loaf special. And then blueberry pie a la mode!!! Absolutely delicious. Our waitress was fantastic and so loved the atmosphere. Still the same many years later . My kids will be living in Elmwood and will make this their new local diner. Thanks for the great food and service. See you soon?
On New Year's Eve had Roast Beef au jus ..fabulous! And the clam chowder delicious! For dessert blueberry pie's the Best! My companion said the Scrod was excellent ?!!!! Service great by real professional staff!
Lunch was very nice. Great home style food at reasonable prices. Homemade pie for dessert.
