I haven't had to wait for a table to date, and have been there about a dozen times(mostly off peak). Food is what you'd expect from a nice quality diner. Service has always been great. Enjoy!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would…went to have breakfast with my boyfriend here yesterday and not only we’re the pancakes subpar but the onions on my Lox Sandwich had mold on them & the tomatoes were dried up. I was absolutely mortified that they’d serve something like this to someone. Our server was kind and attentive, but the food especially this Lox sandwich was a horrific experience. My boyfriend also ordered bacon and he didn’t get his side of bacon but we definitely got charged for it. Go figure…We won’t be back & I wouldn’t recommend this place not even to my worst enemy!

Nice brunch under an umbrella on the patio. Lox with my bagel was perfectly salty and smoky. Bagel and cream cheese was DD-grade (nothing special). Service was good. Prices were reasonable.

Friendly, fast service. Mediocre Food. The flavor is lacking. My omelette was over cooked, dry and the toppings were very sparse. I asked the server to have the eggs cooked lightly. The omelette barely had bacon, cheese or turkey. The avocado was cut so small that it looked like chopped peppers. The pancakes were dry and tasteless.I won’t come back. Also, the manager was rude and defensive. I packed up EVERYTHING so I could go home and re-season it. But then I changed my mind and threw it in the garbage. The food at this restaurant is trash and the management has no cooth and is extremely arrogant with no sense of hospitality whatsoever. They need a new cook because the one they had today had zero skills. Sorry not sorry.

Prices are going up, and serving sizes are going down. Almost $10 for two eggs, a few small fries and two small slices of toast. The wait staff was ok but not attentive enough. Not worth it.

I ate the flounder (bland). My wife loved the Greek sampler and my mother in law had chicken with olives. Latter two dishes were rated excellent. Took home two slices of homemade chocolate cream pie which was superb and cost $5 per piece. Everything was generous portions. Forgot to mention a delicious appetitezer of a mix of soft cheeses melted inside a filo dough crust. Service good. Food good

Wish I can give 5 stars. Today was my second time ordering here. The customer service was horrible. The first time I ordered here there was a girl with beautiful red hair excellent customer service. I called in my order again the second time. This young lady was very unprofessional. I stated I wanted the “big breakfast” which she thought she heard “the breakfast” then says “which breakfast “puts the phone down and mocks me to someone else and starts laughing. At least but the phone on mute. The food was good but I’m not eating here ever again hiring an immature girl to take orders over the phone no thanks. After that I definitely wouldn’t sit in there now.

I was referred to Effie's via Google search because my favorite diner Mo's Midtown is closed for owner's sabbatical reasons. So I decided to give a new spot a chance. There is off street parking. The inside of the diner is very warm and inviting. The young waitresses were semi rude (saw me and did not greet) however, the hostess was excellent! My waitress, an older woman was awesome. My rating of 3 stars is because: the non greeting from the waitress that saw me first, and the food taste & presentation. The food presentation was not appealing. My coffee cup, for starters, had dust around the rim. I asked that my home fries be well done but not burnt, they were burnt. I'm an egg junkie, and unless they use small eggs, that was NOT 3 eggs that I ordered. I wanted them scrambled and it was presented on my plate as if it were an omelette ? and lastly, the French toast was nothing more than regular sandwich bread that was bland, no flavor, no cinnamon not sugar. The syrup helped none at all.I would recommend this spot to senior citizens to eat or those that don't have special requests. I would not recommend this spot to those that are particular foodies such as myself.

Me and my hubby were here about an hour ago and the service today was horrible. We have visited this restaurant before and the service was great. But today the coffee was watery and when I explained to the waitress she apologized and said someone must have ran the pot twice with same filter. We politely asked for water and OJ. Our food came out pretty fast and was good overall but I was unable to finish my food because I was thirsty and had no straws even though I asked our waitress for a straw. After over 5 mins of waiting for our straws we decided we had to go elsewhere to get something to drink because we obviously weren't being attended. Our waitress was not attentive and it caused our experience to be horrible. We still paid full price for our meal including the coffees we did not drink and left the waitress a nice tip, we all know how people have ignorant opinions of others.

They have the best Omlette in town. Staff is very friendly. I went one Saturday morning to pick up my breakfast I order. Place was very packed. When I got home I noticed they gave me the wrong order. I called and told them they messed my order up. They quickly apologized and said they was training someone. That they will redo my order. I went like 5 min later and they had my food ready. And even gave me free dessert. There just the best very professional and friendly staff.
