A couple of months ago, my co-worker and I went to pick up soup for lunch. We only had a short amount of time to get back. Upon returning to the office, I saw that I got clam chowder not the potato soup I ordered. I am allergic to seafood. I called and because I did not have time to go back, I was told the cost would be returned to my bank card but it was not done. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but after 6 days, I called again and was assured the credit would go back on my card. Still no reimbursement. This is a poor way to handle customer service.
To say that this place has changed is an understatement. Food was lukewarm, place was dirty, restrooms were a wreck, waitress was slow. Salmon burger was lukewarm at best, sweet potato fries were cold, chicken and waffles were warm. Have to admit, I’ve never had chicken and waffles with four different parts of chicken, all with bone in. Quite the mess to eat. Average taste. Food took almost 40 minutes with no update from the waitress. Waitress took our order, brought our order, one refill, and the check. Never checked on us (at all!). Used to be a favorite of ours, but looks like the new owners don’t know what’s going on. I anxiously await an explanation on TripAdvisor. If you have a choice in West Hartford, there are plenty of other restaurants. Sorry a blue plate, you won’t be seeing us again after many years as customers!
We had the Lobster Roll which was excellent! I had a refreshing cucumber drink. Fast friendly service! A place to visit. Yummy
Hostess and server were the same woman. She was buzzing around the room, taking orders, greeting people, all w/ a smile. A great multitasker.The food however, not so great. I found a hair in my omelet. Place was VERY crowded and slow, and since there was just one employee on the floor, I didn't want to send the food back. I cut around the hair then kind of picked at the other items on the plate.On top of that, the decor is dilapidated. The booths are busting at the seams, ripped open. Before today, I went to this place years ago. Looks like there's been no upkeep since then. Place has potential and could be nice again, but it needs some work ASAP.
Nest restaurant I have been to in a long time. The food is amazing and the servers are great! My new favorite place to go out to eat.

It was my first time going here and it was an awesome experience. Best French toast I've had in a long time. Amazing bloody Marys. The homemade hash was out of this world. And the waitress was awesome too! The food was great, but she really made the experience extra fantastic.
Lots of good breakfast options. The burrito and eggs Benedict were good, but not amazing. We'll probably go back to try other fun things on th menu.
The food was very good. The service was really good. So why the one star. NOT ONE staff member had a mask on!It's such a shame that ownership requires a mask mandate to keep their patrons safe. I won't patronize this place again.
