I was an early customer of this restaurant and loved it. Then I didn’t think it was as good as when they started. The last few times I have been there I thought it was GREAT. Large portions, huge shrimp, tasty veggies and sauces. Their customer service has always been excellent.
The food was delicious, the staff were courteous and people were in and out picking up their food with smiles. The restaurant was clean and the food was hot and delivered quickly.
Sonny was great and very hospitable. We moved to west hartford recently and have been searching for our favorite new spots. We landed on Black Bamboo and couldn’t be happier with our decision. Great food, service and the classic hip hop was a perfect touch for tonight’s date night.
I’m here several times a week. Vegan menu is amazing. I’ve had my family try & they couldn’t tell the difference. Great Customer Service & Food Is ALWAYS Hot & Ready….Sunny is the Best, by far the best Restaurant in CT.
Picked up my food today and when I went home and started eating it I found a huge chunk of glass in my food. Thank god I noticed it before I ate it. I am so extremely disappointed. This was my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area and have gone here multiple times with no issues in the past. I will never come back. Be careful and take a second look at what you are eating.
Black Bamboo became my favorite spot over the past couple years during the pandemic. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer Black Bamboo’s vegan food over most vegan restaurants. Great variety on their menu. Try the Vegan Chicken & Broccoli. Amazing. Friendly staff, too. Good people. -Derek

The owners and staff were so welcoming and helpful. We dined in and loved everything we ordered. The boneless spareribs are a must! We will definitely be coming back. Thanks for making us feel so welcome today!
I eat here all the time! I especially love the vegan options they have (can’t stay away from that vegan orange chicken). They are quick, they are super friendly, and the food is consistently great. That’s all I can ask for, so I keep coming back!
The foods amazing! I just don’t appreciate the condescending wait staff over the phone! I found it pretty offensive that restaurant redlines certain areas of delivery, it’s social irresponsible in today’s climate. I suggest pick up only or ordering of the website.
