I love this place. The food is delicious. There is so much variety I can get something new each time. The portions are great. The seating includes outlets at every table (sincere THANK YOU from us students), and the staff is the FRIENDLIEST staff you will ever meet. If you want to support the community and a fellow taino, eat/drink here!
Coffee was good but nothing really special to be honest. Same with some of the pastries, good as well but nothing that would have me going out of my way for. They close early and the ambience feels more like a cafeteria or food court vibes more than a coffee shop. So not exactly the most comfortable place to go if you're wanting to sit down with a laptop to get some work or studies done. The staff however was very friendly and attentive. Overall it's a good coffee shop and would visit regularly if it's one of the closer ones to me. I didn't try any of their regular food items so I could be missing something there. But even so, when I see a name like Spirit Cafe, I'm not thinking tacos, or sandwiches. I'm thinking living room vibes, warm lighting, rugs, couches, more hippy kind of vibes if that makes sense.
I never leave comments but had to on this one. I had the best burger here that I’ve had in about 20 years! Excellent The coffee was the best too! A little gem in downtown Waterbury!!
Rare find in Waterbury. Cute place, very spacious, very neat and well lit. Lots of tables with outlets and WiFi.Staff is outstanding in their service and very friendly. They customized the sandwich I ordered with a smile on their face, and they also hand out/ offer free chocolates (Ghirardelli squares). Very friendly and welcoming attitude of the staff.Yet to try their coffee, but hot sandwich was fresh and tasty.
Street tacos were amazing! Latte was great! Next time just listen to wHat people are ordering ! Didn’t make my husbands sandwhich
I rarely ever leave reviews, but felt compelled to leave one for Spirit Cafè. I am not from the Waterbury area nor am I familiar with it, so when I started a new job in downtown Waterbury in August finding good coffee was high on my priority list. I found Spirit Cafè not long after it had opened, and I’ve been impressed ever since. Their drinks and baked goods are delicious and fresh every time, and the staff is always extremely friendly. I was so glad to see they extended their hours & now offer a variety of hot food. I make sure to stop by for a delicious specialty coffee every single week!
Three of us enjoyed brunch: omelet, burger, breakfast burger. All expertly prepared per our order. Very good, juicy, and hot all served with a smile.
Everyone at Spirit Cafe is so nice and welcoming. My Cocoa was outstanding and the service was impeccable.
Staff is friendly. There are many food options. The coffee is good quality. There is plenty of seating with a plethora of outlets, which as a student I really appreciate. I think the only opportunity for improvement is sometimes the dining area is a little chilly, so just wear a light jacket. I will continue to be a repeat customer!
The people were very pleasant . I had a small hot coco with a blueberry bagel and cream cheese. It is the best one yet. I am thinking of bringing my family.
