Probably the best meal I've had in a LONG TIME.Class Casino (think baked stuffed clams but whole clams). Food was good. Waitress was all by herself and booths were full with a huge party in back but she rocked and was able to handle all the tables by herself.. food came and noticed we had no grated cheese but I could see multiple battles at bar- right across from where we were seated so I walked up to bar and asked bartender for grated cheese- and I still can't believe the dirty look the bartender gave me- she made no move to hand me a grated cheese and about 6 bottles were literally right next to her hand. The waitress noticed me and came jogging up and got me a grated cheese. I'm not sure what bartenders problem is but waitress seemed all too aware of her attitude and thankfully came to my rescue-- I hope management see this rudeness and corrects it- very bad for business- I've always had pleasant experiences here in the past but will not want to deal with being glared at and ignored so next time we go out I will remember and not want to spend my money where you dirty looks by staff. Get a bartender that smiles and treats patrons with respect.
My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary along with one of our sons and had been to Pizza Castle a few times. Always enjoyed our meal. This time was no different, food was great! However, it was odd we waited in the "wait to be seated" area for 5 minutes before anyone realized we were there. Glad we were patient, stayed and had a great meal. The fried calamari appetizer hit the spot. It came with fried jalapeños & fresh feta! Yum! I kept it simple and had a sausage meatball grinder and husband had the turkey club with fries... all was well. Our son, went all out having clam chowder and penne alla vodka with chicken! Looked, smelled and, according to him, was very good! Looking forward to next time.
Oh yeah. Experience does count. Each item on this multi page menu is enough to wow your palate and drag you back for more. Though it is hiding and easily missed it is sort of next to Wells Fargo since that sign you can't miss. Lasagna assembled on the spot not defrosted,. Spaghetti with yes you can tell freshly made well true Italian meatballs. Pizza crust that is perfectly crunchy and browned covered with eggplant mushrooms and fresh spinach fresh mozzarella and of course the perfect amount of marinara pizza sauce. This is not even the beginning...chocolate cake to die for. Yes death by chocolate here is fine. Etc etc etc.
I ordered a gluten free pizza and unknowingly received a NON-gluten free (regular) pizza. I was two slices in when I realized that the pizza I had eaten was not gluten-free due to the restaurant’s error when inputting my order of which I specifically requested gluten-free. I began panicking and called the restaurant only to be told to, “just go to the hospital” in a very rude tone by the owner who then abruptly hung up the phone on me while I was still speaking to him. I have a severe allergy to gluten. No refund, apology or replacement pizza on the house was offered. The wait staff was also very rude. I would save my time, energy & money and go elsewhere - where customers are actually valued. 1/5 stars.
I've been holding off on this review because I like the pizza but how could a restaurant deliver customers pizza that is so cold? And I don't mean cold like not hot enough... I mean cold to the touch. Why not hire another driver? I can't imagine I am the only customer who complains about delivery times. You've got to be losing customers to this.
I have ordered from this establishment for over 20 something years As well as dined in. Me and my sister would SHARE Sunday dinners here. Tonight I ordered from pizza castle and my order was over 50 something dollars as always if not more and I always, always tip the drivers generously for the service they provide. I live literally 5 minutes from this establishment perkins ave from chase and when my pizza and wings arrived a hour later both were ICE COLD!!!! The salad was fine, I called I was told they were backed up which ok I understand but again 5 minutes should not make my food ice cold. I was told another pizza could be sent out but no refund it is what it is was what I was told. This is not how you treat someone who has supported your establishment for this long and if so it's very unfortunate. I would not have given one star but it was the only way to leave a review. Very poor management as well as customer service. Thank you
Delicious food. Fast and friendly service when I dined in. Appreciated the waitress coming to check on us and make sure everything was ok. The salad was delicious. My daughters enjoyed the wings, pizza and pasta!
Terrible food and service! When you complain about their less than average food they argue with you and make you feel like you're a bad person. They don't understand customer service and they definitely don't understand how to make good food. You're better off ordering from Spartan Restaurant or even Frankie's. Domino's has better pizza.
Order a pasta dinner, enough for two! And delicious.
