I’ve been coming here for years! The food now is very bland! The soup has no flavor at all! The food used to b good but I’ve gone twice lately and the food has gone down! I’m not going back !
Eastgate has been a great place for breakfast since I've lived in the east end of Waterbury and that was over 20 years ago.Eastgate makes really good home fries. Their eggs are always cooked to perfection.
Food was great!! Very fresh and didn't take long on coming out. I went on a weekday and it was getting busy. Not overly crowded but that place is small so with 20 people in there, it seems like a HUGE amount. They should look into expanding into a bigger area to fit people more comfortably. Some people there were even bumping with others while walking out the door. The ladys working there seem to be in a rush too. They were nice but seem to be very rushed and as if they had alot on their plate. Not a relaxing vibe for sure but food was great! I would never go there on a weekend though.
Nice small Mom&Pop diner. Stopped by for a quick bite. Fresh hot food, clean and warm environment. Staff is friendly and helpful. A nice neighborhood eatery.
Favorite spot for breakfast, and everyone that works there learn who their regulars are. Always polite and service is fast food is great

Damn good BLT, + fiance& I LUV their Bacon egg & cheese on a hard roll! always a favorite Saturday mornings 4 us! Super quick (as we walk in and order to-go) Staff always upbeat and nice!
I can say best diner in waterbury cant get better than this and their hot chocolate with extra whip cream is the freaking best ? ?
My first meal at East Gate Luncheonette. The service is exceptional, kind and caring. The food is perfection. I will definitely return.
Cant ever place an order the phone line is always busy, guy that stands at register isn’t helpful at all. What an awful experience.
