Great delicious food and good portions!
The food portions were good. However, the flavor was non existent in most of the food. There is no salt, no sofrito, nothing. Not on the meat, in the rice, or in the beasns. The beef stew was tender, but no flavor and had almost no sauce. I won't order again.
This has got to be the worst Puerto Rican food in history. The food taste like when your abuela can no longer cook the way she used to. The food taste like home cooked food that was rushed and you forgot to season the food. How is this place still open? Take your palate to West Main Street and Willow. Take your palate anywhere but Brenda's Kitchen. I hate wasting money!
I once had a coworker give me some delicious empanadas from this place so I had to try the other food. I spent 14 dollars on a small order of boneless chicken with white rice and beans , sweet plantains and an empanada. I was starving so I sped over to my job , ready to devour some good ole Spanish food!! But boy was I disappointed. My chicken chunks had no flavor and was tough to chew! It seemed as if the chicken was fried and then cooked again in an air fryer. It was so black , it looked like it was Cajun chicken . But nope. It was just over cooked. My “ white “ rice was yellow and over cooked. And the beans was just one pigeon pea mixed in the rice. Totally not what I was expecting for “ white rice with beans”. And the plantains weren’t drained of the oil. It seemed like it went straight from the pan into the container . If they weren’t so oily, I truly would’ve enjoyed them. They only thing I enjoyed was the empanada . Hopefully my next experience with this business will be better and everything I order will be delicious.
Ordered yellow rice with pernil and it was awful the taste was so off definitely will not order from here again I wanted to love it but did NOT. NO FLAVOR on the rice but the chicken empanada was good . Ehhh not happy
Brenda’s Kitchen & Deli catered my baby shower & everything was perfect! The food is phenomenal. The family is welcoming. Always my go to spot whenever I’m in town. Dios los bendiga !
I wandered in here for a uber eats order and oh my goodness this is soooo cute everyone is super friendly and polite. It’s clean and has a great atmosphere! The food is amazinggg!
Their beef stew is amazing!! I love there chicken and cheese empanadas it’s delicious!
