Chowder was not good, tasted like flour chunks that were not cooked thoroughly. The hostess was very confused and not trained. Seated in the incorrect area but she seemed frustrated so did not want to correct her. Our waitress was amazing and patient, but the food and drinks were not great. The drinks were terrible, did not taste fresh. The only good experience about this place was our waitress Gina I believe her name was. For the price that they want for their items, highly do not recommend.
I have lived in Wallingford for 3 years now 2 minutes up the street from Westbrook Lobster and I have always wanted to come here and try it. Finally came tonight and it was a wonderful experience! Great atmosphere, the food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and hot! Our server Kiara was so attentive and friendly she made my first experience at Westbrook memorable! I would love to work here someday! I have been a server and worked in hospitality for 10 years! Thank you everyone at Westbrook for making my first experience so enjoyable! Will be back again soon :)
Thank you Westbrook Lobster of Wallingford for a terrific meal and dining experience! This was our first dining experience as a family with a 14 month old and the staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. To top it all off the food was delicious!
Food was outstanding 10/10. Our server was excellant and attentive. Ordered the lobster roll and it was fantastic. My boyfriend ordered lobster mac n cheese. It was amazing atmosphere, comfortable seating.
My husband and I happened to stop in for the first time last night. The food was amazing- we had the the warm goat salad, pan seared scallops and shrimp cocktail. Portion sizes were great and food was delicious. We finished it off with bread pudding which was a rare treat and scrumptious! Melissa,our server, was friendly and professional and went above and beyond to make our dinner perfect. We will definitely be back.
We were looking for a good place for dinner before the Casting Crowns concert at Oakdale and are so glad we decided on Westbrook Lobster. We got lobster Mac and Cheese, Lobster Roll, Fish and Chips along with the warm goat cheese salad with grilled tuna pictured here. Excellent service and food. Great craft beer selection. We'll make the trip again to visit just for the food, not just because it is convenient to the theater!
Katie B was amazing. We had Valentines Day dinner here last night and she made our night sweeter. Food was perfect, they have the best clam chowder I’ve ever tasted and it’s always the same. Im also in love with their Salmon. Drinks were awesome too. I love coming here. Always great
Best lobster I ever had. Warm cozy environment. Server was great. Prices were insanely reasonable and Brussel sprouts were out of this world! I I cannot say enough about this. Will come here again every time I am in Connecticut! 5 star! I don't know why it isn't.
I'm torn between giving WL a three star review or a four star review. Overall, service, food quality, speed of service was all very good. The CT lobster roll was busting with lobster and butter and was very good and enjoyable. The reason why I went with three stars is more based on my experience, which was hopefully isolated to just me however, my experience none the less. I was visiting my in-laws in the Wallingford/ Cheshire area recently and everyone mentioned the CT lobster roll at Westbrook Lobster. I was traveling from NC so the only time I get a lobster roll worth mentioning is when I go to the northeast. I had been traveling all day and didn't have much time to grab food so I was starving. My brother in law picked me up from the airport and my first request was a stop by WL. We placed an online order about 20 minute from WL for two rolls and fried shrimp. The order went through, I received an email confirmation and all was good. When we arrived a few minutes before 6pm we were greeted by locked doors and a sign advertising they were undergoing renovations on that day. The next day I placed an order over the phone, fool me once..., the staff were all very friendly and quick to take my order. When I arrived my order was ready and everything went smoothly. I mentioned the transaction and the hostess went back to talk to the manager and when the hostess returned she said "they found the transaction and credited back the transaction". I would have expected some credit towards the meal for the mishap or something but apologies were we received. When I returned home and checked my credit card there was the charge...still on my card and never credited or deleted. I spent a good amount of time with the credit card company trying to undo this mess.
This was some of the best seafood I’ve ever had in my entire life. Between the gorgeous view of the river and the rustic dark wood interior, this establishment is stunning.As for the fare, the lobster nachos were insanely amazing, the oysters were incredibly fresh, and the clam chowdah was so creamy and tasty.I tried one of their specialty Pilsners that the waitress recommended and it was crispy and refreshing. I would keep going back here just to try everything on their menu.
