Meh. Waitstaff was lying around. Food was okay, not really seasoned well. Drinks were also meh. Better when it was previous place.
Good atmosphere and friendly staff but that's about it. Music was good but too loud. We had to ask for cutlery 5mins after the food was served. Food taste was mediocre.
Would like to leave a note after my last visit to Vida Mexicana.Our host was welcoming! It was a busy night, and a holiday. That being said, I would have preferred if our servers had mentioned that our table had a time limit prior to being asked "Could I bring anything before you leave?" when we were not told of a limit. The wrong order was brought to the table, and though it was replaced, this did cut into the time frame of the table. We were not impressed by the overall service, despite understanding that the holiday did have an effect on staffing and wait times.
Good atmosphere, Skinny spicy Margaritas are great and food was delicious. Ceviche was really good so was the shrimp tacos. Enchiladas were all good but the chicken, it was a little blend and needed more spices, otherwise all was great ?
A year ago came here for my fist date with my boyfriend and it was great!! Well went yesterday and they down sized the menu, the rice was really bland, the food was warm so I’m assuming mine had been sitting, there was a long wait on the food and the restaurant was dead, like 15 people at most. Food was ok. Kind of a shame it seems like it went down hill. Maybe it was a bad day for them. But it wasn’t anything like the fist time.
We're here for right now and it's ridiculous that they don't allow you to eat outside! and there's a 2 hour wait to eat inside! There are tables outside but you're not allowed to eat?? what? and the attitude is ridiculous!
I was too busy enjoying the excellent meal to take any photos of it. My sister and I had dinner there and split a four enchilada plate. It was delicious they were four different fillings and sauces. The chips were good the salsa was excellent. The service was good. The staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean. Parking was sufficient. The prices were fair. The atmosphere was very festive and mexican.Wallingford should be proud to have a restaurant as nice as Vita Mexicana for our residents and others to enjoy good Mexican food. It is in a convenient business location near Lowe's.The black beans were delicious which is their standard when they serve a meal. They also serve white rice as a standard but if you want the Mexican rice you have to ask.Overall it was a great experience and I don't think you will be disappointed with the food and service and experience at Vita mexicana.
I just don’t know what to say - we went to this place a week ago and had an absolutely amazing meal. It was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. We enjoyed our time. A week later we decided to go back, it wasn’t busy and we were seated right away. So why a 1 star? We waited 25 minutes and not one staff member said hi, introduced themselves, brought us drinks, etc. we were one of 3 tables on our side of the restaurant. Very disappointed. Went across the road to chili’s - where we were greeted and seated and had drinks within 6 minutes. Not sure how this place will survive if they have competition across the road that does the job better.
This place was excellent. Authentic Mexican so delicious. I went for lunch. Not sure the reason they don’t have 4.7 stars! Great homemade Mexican food! Keep up the great work!
Great service and great food. The No way José burrito is big. The menu was easy to read and you can create your own combo so you can try several things. We will be back.
