Have been ordering here over a span of 4 years, the quality has been questionable recently. An order of miso soup used to be a single serving. This time they tacked on a 32oz miso soup for $11. I'm not sure when that started, but the nori in the container was bad. When it was brought to their attention, they argued against it (cook coming out of the kitchen to investigate and all). It was an unpleasant experience on top of recieving a questionable soup.
I wish I could leave no starts for the review. Worst customer service off all!! Don’t even respect the customer!! Ordered couple of times before for stir fry sea food udon before by phone, all went we’ll. Unfortunately, today, I went in there to order. The cashier (a white man with a broken arm) started to acting very unfriendly after he saw my Asian face. He pretended he couldn’t understand what I was ordering and kept making fun on my order. Don’t understand why do they put him on that position if he’s racist!! Will never order from them again!
Dropping a star for the prices. I get inflation, especially now, but they're higher than what I pay along the shoreline by quite a bit which is usually the opposite.The food is always great though but so is a lot of the Thai competition in Wallingford. Curries, noodles, anything with basil, all hit the spot. Never tried the Japanese stuff here but it's a Thai restaurant. For Japanese, I'll go to a Japanese restaurant.
I am a long time customer of this restaurant and appreciate the service and atmosphere every time I order or dine in (pre-COVID). I’ve even brought in new customers and turned them on to this restaurant, that’s how much I like them. But I literally just called to see if they were open for dine in yet and the response I received was unnecessarily rude and distasteful! I was beyond shocked bc I’ve gotten to know the owners and it’s the same one who answers the phone every time. I simply asked if they were open for dine in yet and instead of a simple no, I got a harsh response of “Absolutely not! I will not jeopardize the health and safety of myself and my employees!” I replied with a shocked, oh ok, I was just checking (because this restaurant is not close to me). And he just hung up on me before I could barely end my sentence!I was so shocked and disturbed by it, I had to take a moment before I decided what to do next. Since I like the place so much, I thought I’d give them a second chance before I wrote a review (obviously it didn’t go well bc here I am!) I called back saying hey, I just called with a simple question and the response I received was rude and unnecessary. I understand your feelings about safety, but instead you could have simply replied “no, just take out and delivery. I order from here a lot and I’m just shocked by the response, it didn’t have to be so rude”. Note: I was interrupted after the first sentence, with the same attitude, but I stood my ground and continued to tell him the better way to have answered my question. And the reply I got at the end was “ok, I’ll tell the supervisor about the rudeness”. And just as I was about to reply, again, he hung up on me. Remember: HE is the owner. WHO is he telling, his wife, the co owner?! LIES! And even if it was another employee, why would they tell on themselves, that’s just dumb. I am DEFINITELY taking a break from this place and not bringing anymore friends and family here!
Ordered from DoorDash, got steamed dumplings and chicken fried rice. Dumplings were actually pretty good and gave me hope. The chicken fried rice was amazingly bland. Definitely the least flavorful Thai fried rice I’ve ever had. Portion was generous enough, but what does it matter when it doesn’t taste worth eating?
It is pretty decent. The food is tasty, and its a very clean environment. They are only doing take out or delivery right now.

Take out only these days but the best thai in the area, consistent flavors and friendly people.
By far the best Thai food I've had a very very long time, definitely recommend, they're all super polite and the food is amazing can't beat it
Bought the volcano chicken, came with a bunch of fried bits of chicken and a small side of sauce. They charge extra for more sauce. Food is over priced. I’ve had better from similar restaurants. Look up volcano chicken if you aren’t familiar with it there’s a major difference.
