Haven’t eaten here before but my family loves the sandwiches.
I love Nardelli's and have frequented almost all of their locations between now and the past 10 years or so, but as of the last couple of years they decided they'd starting cutting everything in half. I think this started around the time they stopped calling it "the Nardelli's way" and started calling it "with everything." If I'm ordering a full grinder, great! Cut that in half; this is normal. But there's no reason to cut a small grinder or hard roll in half. Then you have these sandwich pieces are twice as tall as they are long and the whole thing falls apart after your first bite. I have asked for it to be uncut when I order a half size grinder a few times, but they only understand what that means about 40% of the time. I don't know who, at the top of this franchise, decided on cutting everything in half before you wrap it up like a mischievous little sandwich elf plotting his last revenge on the patrons who've made him sour over weird orders, but it was not a good decision. I shouldn't have to eat my sandwich with a fork.
I don't know what has happened over the past year.. I have used Nardelli's in wallingford not only for a quick dinner or lunch, but also for catering in the past. 2 days ago, we ordered 2 grinders and the macaroni Salad and tortellini salad. I did all but throw up from how disgusting everything tasted. The grinders were meh, suddenly tasteless. The real surprise was the foul, sour tasting macaroni and tortellini salad. The 75$ price tag to this meal was also nauseating. I gave 2 stars only because they were good in the past. I will be finding another deli for my catering hence forth. I am happy that I found this out before I actually ordered from them again for catering. I would have been so embarrassed to serve this to guests.
WOW that "plant Italian combo" is something else!! I have to eat it in my car so my cat doesn't beg and get upset that I didn't share it because it looks so traditional... (My first time trying was via Uber Eats curious, but now I need one once a week.)Soo sooo good for primarily plant based eaters or semi plant based people. Was coming from the doctor's office and happened to come across this little gem. I did the touchless car Wash I was quite surprised what a great job it did on my car. Will definitely go there again
I ORDERED ONLINE A BREADED CHICKEN SANDWICH AND I WAS DISGUSTING ? THE CHICKEN WAS OLD AND COLD EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A HOT SANDWICH. I WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN IT WAS MY FIRST AND MY LAST TIME ORDERING SOMETHING THERE. I WASTED $10 FIR NOTHING.
