Went there on a Tuesday afternoon. Had a salmon wrap which got me sick afterwards. Thought I had food poisoning. Wished I caught it earlier...
food was great but the service was horrible. could not even get more water when we asked. sat there for 20 minutes before someone came up to us. we had to ask the server about drinks and food. we had to ask multiple times for things and never received them. server has been standing at the counter talking to coworkers instead of checking on his tables. this is the second time ive visited and this happened. very disappointed.
This place used to have great food (the service has ALWAYS been notoriously bad imo) but lately the quality has gotten so bad it’s a little embarrassing. I’m not sure how this place is always packed when the quality of food has dropped so significantly. And forget takeout orders. Everything is always soggy because they neglect to vent the containers. Won’t go back until service and food quality changes but I don’t foresee that happening, unfortunately.
Pizza is fantastic! Great atmosphere and service. Tommy was awesome and made sure we had everything that we needed. Definitely will be back, highly recommend!
Ours was a stop for lunch on a long driving day. We bypassed the usual fare and drove into downtown Wallingford. It was worth the effort. The main street is quaint and well kept. The Half Moon restaurant has a varied menu and is taking good Covid precautions. We both enjoyed our meals and found the lattes especially tasty. We will make this detour again!
Each time I visit Half Moon it's a new dinning experience. From main dishes to salads, paninis, pizza and dessert. Always fresh and taste wonderful.Stefano is a perfectionist and has the highest of standards. I highly recommend dinning at Half Moon.

I used to come here like 10 years ago as a kid and loved the pizza, but only recently came back, remembering it... The food is AMAZING! Definitely going to come back often. It's hard to find food with such creativity and uniqueness inside it in Connecticut, and this by far the best. Highly recommended.
