Authentic in the way you might possibly get murdered walking in the seedy back door. The filthy, post-industrial carpeting also really adds to the ambiance. I ended up with a pretty standard grinder grinder for a premium price. Hard to see how the place holds up considering the other options in town.
We ordered several trays of deli goodie’s and they were absolutely wonderful! We will definitely be ordering again!
I keep giving them second chances but they continue to disappoint. I waited more than 15 minutes only to receive a cold toasted tuna sandwich that was pancake thin for $10. Poor service, low quality food and too expensive. Not the Italian delis I grew up with! C-ya Salerno’s.

This place had a variety of sandwiches to choose from. I loved the fact that they gave them their own unique names. Makes it memorable. What ever you order, you'll be satisfied for sure! Can't wait to go back!
sad to see that Salernos has gone out of business, no website, they dont answer the phone, and no FB posts since 2017. They will be sorely missed in Torrington
One would think if you are paying $14 for a grinder they could get your order right. Need to pay attention to how your customers want their sandwiches.
