always quality food burritos hit the spot every time

This place had nice decor on the inside and I was excited to try the food. Unfortunately the food fell short. They used canned chicken in the burritos and quesadilla. Canned chicken has its own unique taste that is hard to cook away. They might use it in other items too but that is all the chicken products we ordered. I also ordered the steak quesadilla and it was very large and full of cheese. There were not many steak pieces in the quesadilla which was also disappointing. Overall the decor was nice, the food was ok and the waiters were ok.
My wife and I are foodies. Our go to Mexican was always tequila's in Waterbury. Sadly that took a sharp downfall after covid. We tried it a couple times and we were just so disappointed it broke our hearts! So we tried dos amigos in torrington. The outside does not present well. Frankly the inside doesn't present well either. If I were the owner I would certainly clean the joint up. However, I have nothing but positive things to say about the food. It is authentic and it is consistent each time you go. The salsa, the fajitas, the tacos, the drinks anything you order will be the exact same every single time and it's very very good. When it's warm you can sit at a picnic table outside and that's really nice. It's our new go to Mexican and we go probably at least twice a month.
Authentic Mexican food and nice choices of drinks. Pina Colada and Margaritas were nice start to our dinner. Enchiladas and seafood stews were outstanding! Background Mexican music was also charming. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us excellent service.
Been here once before and am currently here again, let me say the drinks, food, salsa and service is awesome! Food comes out fast, friendly people . Love this place ?
Should have known to stay away by the broken glass door. The food was very salty, was missing ingredients that it was supposed to have and had stuff it wasn't. Besides the broken glass door the place is dirty food splatter on the walls greasy menus and could feel something on our "clean" table. I'm honestly scared to know what the kitchen looks like. The staff seemed friendly but could have been more knowledgeable and helpful. Took a while for her to check how the food was so by the time I got the condiments I needed my food was hold. However the condiments didn't mask the salty flavor. My friend and I didn't even eat oru meals. Oh and to top it off its super expensive! Not going back!

I would always order the queso and flauta, but after taking a bite of the flauta there was a wire in it. They were kind enough to void the transaction but this should never have happened!
Recently moved here the food, drinks, and service are all amazing very good family dinner spot.
