This restaurant has good food and an amazing view of the water. I have already told a few of my friends about Outriggers. Their clam casino pizza ? was delicious. I would eat their again.?
I have come here frequently and have often used this as a go to meeting place for meals with friends and family. Well it pains me to say I won't be doing that anymore. Our table was treated so poorly. The waiter beside having other wait staff there and the outdoors was not nearly at full capacity was abrupt and unpleasant. He made an error on an order, we asked for the sauce of an appetizer to be on the side. He inadvertently requested it on the other app we ordered. No big deal, we're all human, right? Wrong! Waiter's idea of correcting the mistake was to pick it up and put it on a clean plate. The sauce was still on the app.I never write bad reviews but felt I had to in this case as someone with an allergy would have been in deep trouble by his action. When I pointed it out, he got upset and said he would have the manager come over because he "can't deal with me right now". I want to point out I never raised my voice or was rude. I merely caught him trying to cover his mistake and compounding it.All the manager did was take the plate away and barely looked at us and issued a barely audible "sorry".It really set a bad tone for the family dinner we wanted to have. It was my son's last day before leaving to California. It makes me sad to have had this happen at a place I used to love to go.
We went to Outriggers for a private dinner (30 people) and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The food was delicious and they were able to accommodate the food allergies. The upstairs room was a great size and had a great view of the marina and landscape. They were even able to turn off the music. I recommend Outriggers when you're getting together with lots of relatives ! Everyone had positive things to say.
Terrible experience here. Was told happy hour was over when i ordered. Ok. Flipped it around and ordered off the 'Bar Menu'. No mention of happy hour or times anywhere on that menu. Was told when the bill dropped that i had ordered off the 'regular menu' which wasnt even in front of me at 4x the price. The 'Bar Menu' apparently is only offered during Happy hour, even though there is a separate happy hour menu and it doesnt say that anywhere on the 'Bar Menu'. This is straight deceptive. 'Bar Menu' is a menu offered only at the bar. 'Happy hour' is limited time. I cant know which it is unless you tell me. In addition - No managers on site, ever, and food is way overpriced and mediocre at best. Service is usually pretty friendly but inconsistent and disorganized. They use frozen crinkle cut fries from a bag on $30 seafood plates. Ridiculous. Im not familiar with this area but if there werent better options Id be shocked cause this is a debacle.RESPONSE: There is no bar menu huh? What about the menu that says 'Bar Menu' at the top with no other explanations or qualifications on the page about when its served. There is 'Happy Hour' on one side and 'Bar Menu' on the other. The way this works at every single other restaurant is that the bar menu is offered all night unless it says otherwise, so when happy hour ends you can still order off the bar menu. If thats not the case it should all say 'happy hour'. Do i need to go take pictures for you? Perhaps you should swing on by and have a look at it. Do i need to explain to you, a 'restaurant owner', what the words 'Bar Menu' mean? I mean it should be self explanatory but Im really starting to wonder. Also the words 'full platter' were never used. The words that were used were 'regular menu'. Since I had a 'Bar Menu' in front of me that didnt say happy hour, and no other menues, that was the 'regular menu'.If a menu is not being offered it needs to be removed. This is service 101. An item should never be rung in without the menu on which it appears being in front of the customer. Had the bartender went and got a dinner menu and pointed to an item i would have clearly seen and gotten something else. And you have the gall to pretend like this is my fault? Where was the manager when this happened? I worked at much nicer restaurants than this for a long time. I understand that mistakes happen but your response here is shameful. And honestly, i wouldnt have even minded the extra price if not for the attitude and if the food didnt suck so bad. $24 for that? Seriously? Lol. You used frozen, crinkle cut fries from a bag on a $24 plate? Thats where the extra $18 went? They werent even salted. What a scam
The restaurant situated next to the best Marina in Stratford. Many dock and dine boaters visit during the summer months. One day Billy Joel walked up the dock after docking his Down East yacht. The menu has a good variety. It changes depending on time of year and that’s how they deliver high quality fresh foods. If you want a six page menu of Par-Cooked food just go to a Dinner. Outriggers is quality, Fresh and know for the most polite people. We are currently entertaining some new business clients. Knowing that we are going to have a friendly atmosphere and delicious food. I have been eating out their ever since that had a small building out in the parking lot. A Home Run for fine food Paul
Diane was a great host! They were short staffed but we were in no rush and to be honest we were impressed by the service. Will definitely be going back again.
Food was great. Server Lalo was awesome.
Great place to unwind after work during happy hour. Classy atmosphere and great staff
Nice place with extensive menu, nice wait staff and right on the water. Large deck for dinning outdoors in warmer weather. Would definitely go here again.
Nice atmosphere, good food and service.
