Best Chinese food in Stratford, amazing staff too. Any bad reviews you see on here are confused for the similar named place nearby, their review pics aren’t their takeout containers which is how I’m sure. When I moved to Stratford five years ago, I tried every spot on google maps. This is by far the best.
I am trying Chinese food in the neighborhood , just to see which one meet my expectation and this one does not. Food have an old taste to it. Sorry but please stay away.
Oh no! What happened?!? Years ago this was our go-to restaurant. We moved, but were back in the area and stopped by to get a to go order. We were very excited to have food from Hong Kong Cafe. Sadly, I guess there are new owners. The quality of the food has plummeted. The vegetables used to be fresh and wonderful. The chicken was really good quality. Every dish was deliciously healthy and the sauces were perfectly mixed. What we got recently? The chicken in the fried rice was literally not edible - rubbery, globs of something we couldn't identify. The vegetables were probably fresh at some point, but again, a huge disappointment from what they used to serve. the sauces smothered the dishes so that you could barely tell what was what. So disappointing!
Food was flavorless, pork fried rice had a weird smell like it was cooked in old oil.

Poor customer service and had to wait an hour for small order.
This used to be the best Chinese food in Stratford. Now they give you very small portions with a decline in food quality.

This used be a great place pre-covid. The food is clearly not the same, now tasteless and smaller servings, and the staff is different and not friendly. No more.
02/05/2021I have always gone there every once in awhile they have amazing crab raccoon but today was the first day that I received the biggest attitude; whoever that young girl is who is taking the money and giving you the food has the biggest disgusting attitude I ever met.
