i hadn't been here since i was much younger kid. for some reason i always thought it was a steak place. but they actually just have a regular american menu with enough items that everyone can be happy. in fact, i'm pescatarian and vegetarian most days. and they had plenty on the menu for me - moreso than most other places. they had bean burger, impossible burger, shrimp tacos, mediterranean bowl...i went after my workout - with my gym squad. the shrimp tacos were a hit all around. i got the impossible burger with coleslaw. i could have used more coleslaw considering you could get coleslaw OR fries, and i'm sure it would have been ample fries, so give me ample coleslaw too! the ice team was really good. perfectly lemony and sweet enough. we had a 5yr old with us and he was happy with his chicken fingers/fries. and my 15yr old nephew tore up his cheeseburger. our server was attentive and got all the orders right. and one staff even helped us take our group photo - and she got multiple angles and poses out of us, so she's HIRED! lol! i'll definitely go back here.
We ordered a strawberry martini and it tasted like straight water and looked nothing like the picture. We ordered the boneless wings and they were undercooked and just plain not good at all. The serving size for an appetizer I can tell you it wasn’t worth the $10. The worst part about it all is that this place had a bad smell when we walked in.
What a great experience we had at the 99 Restaurants Stratford, CT location yesterday for a family member’s after funeral luncheon. Manager Maryjane created a separate lunch menu within our budget for our guests to chose from, and waited on our family and friends as if they were her own!Food was excellent, as was the warm and inviting atmosphere and service! Thank you for taking such good care of all of us! We look forward to our next meal at 99.
I was soooooo disappointed and disgusted on Thursday April 14th. Had a large family with us hoping to enjoy good food with good people. Unfortunately that was not the case. My husband and I ordered the haddock I believe and one thing we always always do before eating is check our food. When I went through my fish already I could tell it was not fully cooked and the worst thing that could have ever happened happened. I found a white worm or maggot of some sort and guess what it moved. I showed my server and he toot it to the back and when he came back to me he said the craziest thing that doesn'take any sense. He said the cook said it may be cheese. Now come on we all saw it and because they couldn't be honest with me. We will no longer be supporting any of the 99 restaurants. I am still freaked out about it. The worst thing is when someone makes you feel like you're not seeing what you see. Now if I was to post the pic or video that wouldn't be good so I'll leave it at this. Do better please.

Staff was pleasant and efficient. Onion soup was not as good as homemade, but ok. Got extra cheese and browned as requested.Sirloin tips were incredibly tough, but tasty and I took most of it home to stew, to tendarize it. I'm addicted to their popcorn.
Food never disappoints. My favorite is the fish tacos but the burgers are a huge hit in my household. I've never dined in so I can't rate their dine in experience.
Awesome service , fresh food, great environment and local location directly off the highway! With a mass of surrounding businesses as well. Get dinner, and a movie all in the same plaza! Right down the road is even more businesses and restaurants too!
Quiet Friday out at the 99, been meaning to visit and take advantage of the gift cards given to my fiance during Xmas through his job so better late than never! Our food was great, Margarita tasty, environment was nice and the service was excellent!..wl absolutely visit the 99 again but, this time without a gift card and on our own free will!
You can tell a lot by how well the public facilities are cared for. Yuck!!The place has truly changed. Dark Interior, food menu has changed considerably.Nothing I once favored.was on the menu. This is not the 99 I knew 5 years ago.Our Waitress Tiffany was excellent. There was no big crowd at 3pm on a Wednesday. Mostly us senior citizens. I felt the place was not well maintained. The rugs were covered in food. With this much downtime. They would and should do more to clean this place up.Our meal was excellent until this morning when my husband was up all night sick to his stomach. I was not ill. We ate completely different things. Sorry to say. My first meal out in months. Nope I won't go back even if they paid me. The 3 stars are for our waitress.
