Driving through Connecticut this seemed to be a good spot to stop for lunch. Absolutely loved the experience. When I walked through the doors I felt like I stepped back in time. The decor is great, the food is delicious and portions are big.

I don’t know what happened to this place but our old go to is a no go now. Been getting food here for years but a horrible recent experience and bad food the last two orders, we’re done. Also, they don’t stop requesting reviews…even after you’ve already done one. Two weeks later and the emails keep coming.

Oatmeal was just the right consistency for my husband, and he added the dried fruit and brown sugar. Coffee was good and he didn't have to ask for a refill. Avocado toast was fair. Texas toast was not toasted enough to provide a crisp base for the avocado, and it was a bit sweet. We ordered two blueberry muffins to go and found only one when we got back to the hotel. The receipt said "2" and price reflected that. Entire bill was $40.00 for two people! There is a parking lot.

The best diner in Old Greenwich

Running late so checked into hotel next door and went to the diner for dinner. Special menu was not appetizing to me so ordered out of regular menu. Soup was very good snd freshly made. However the meatloaf dinner was probably a few days old and they reheated on a grill the edges were hard as a rock. Spinach side was super and potatoes okay. If in a pinch i would stop in again but would try and order off the specials. On the pricey side. Service was okay sat at the bar almost empty and had to call the waiter several times for service. But was very nice

Delicious diner food. Perfect for weekend brunch for the family. Menu has something for everyone. Clean and courteous service.

Went to this restaurant because it was attached to the hotel. Lot of people in the restaurant. Ordered a BLT for our granddaughter and it said bacon, lettuce, tomator and mayo on your choice of bread. There was NO mayo and tghey put packets of catchup in the bag. Bacon tasted and chewed like it was left over from breakfast. This poor excuse for a BLT cost $11.00. Very disappointing. When I arrived for the pickup I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes with four employees looking at me from behind the counter but chit chatting while I waited. Will not go again.

My family and I recently had breakfast here during a trip to the Stamford area. This was one of the best diner experiences I’ve ever had. The quality and quantity of our dishes, including my corned beef hash and eggs, were excellent and reasonably priced, and the service prompt. This diner is well worth a visit, even for people just passing through the area.

Ordered a burger (med. well) & fries, mango habanero wings & a choc. fudge cake.Positive:Still offer generous portion sizes.Negative:Burger was med rare (very pink) & not seasoned at all, fries were soggy. Usually request to vent container to avoid this, they never do. Wings were seasoned w/ some type of sweet glaze & cayenne & paprika powders; certainly not mango habanero. Taste / texture was very gritty & much different from when last ordered. Sponge was mushy on choc. cake leaving my choc. loving 6 year old refusing any more after 1 bite.Stamford Diner's quality used to be very consistent, but seems to have gone down since start of the pandemic. This is not my first subpar experience, but is my first negative review for them. Looks like they're cutting corners, but certainly not cutting prices. Used to be my go to, unfortunately it will be a long while before I order from here again.Hoping for improvement!

Absolutely delicious! I ate two meals here while I was staying at the hotel next door and thoroughly enjoyed both meals! First meal I had was the Souvlaki with a Greek salad and both were excellent! I am very particular with my Greek food but both items passed my test! Second meal I got the Texas burger and simply put it was phenomenal!
