Most beautiful drinks I have ever experienced in Stamford!! They taste as good as they look too. The bartender, Sankat, is a master behind the bar. Come here if you have a need for pretty drinks!! PS. Also had the Coastal Calamari and it’s delicious too - a nice twist to a Calamari dish :-)
Incredible experience. Our best restaurant experience of 2022 and probably the decade. The best aspect of this restaurant is simply the attention. The detail, customer service and detail make the whole atmosphere perfect. When we arrived the restaurant had many customers but they greeted us right away and set up a beautiful table on a whim. They offered detailed suggestions and explained each dish thoroughly, checked in on us at the perfect times, and everything tasted fantastic. Even the drinks were works of art and everything was very modestly priced. Definitely not enough words to express my gratitude. We can’t wait to go back!
Brilliant food and fantastic service. I really enjoyed my Sunday evening meal at Taj Stamford. By chance I also got to take advantage of their 5-7pm happy hour, which are for both drinks and a selection of smaller food dishes.
Everything from the moment we walked up the stairs into the restaurant was remarkable. The staff was helpful, patient and friendly which showed how much care they put into our experience. Its always nice when you can sense employees enjoy where they work (once a server at an awesome place).The menu is not your typical extensive Indian listing but I'd rather have well-made signature dishes if done greatly than to have a long menu full of a ton of choices. There were definitely traditional dishes and others with a few twists.The drinks are playful with multi-layered presentation and garnishes. They had some SE Asian ingredients but stylized more like tropical Pacific Asian coctails (like my drink served in a conch shell) with a few Japanese-like presentstions - the table next to us had a smoked cocktail served in a wooden box.I hope this new business does terrific. I am def looking forward to going again soon!
Went for the first time for lunch today with a friend of mine. The waiter could not have been more helpful and courteous. He helped us in selecting some different dishes and the food was fantastic.Will definitely be going back to try more.
Awesome place; fantabulous menu with creative presentation….. above all a very cordial group who serve with a smile. The creativity in the creation of the drinks is mind blowing… I would eat here every day …
Recently went to Taj with some friends for dinner. Excellent food refreshing menu warm welcoming atmosphere very friendly staff and creative drinks that were off the charts beautiful to look and presentation was top-notch. Will be back for sure. They also have a great happy hour deals M-F
I was very excited to try this place and left a little disappointed. The food was excellent, but the service ruined our experience. We waited at least 45 min for our appetizers, and the second appetizer didn’t come until the meal came, which was over an hour and 15 min. Had to reup on our parking ticket. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, we were one of two tables there. Would be a 5 if the service wasn’t so slow.
Taj was a great date night experience. To start, the cocktail menu was creative and fun; It was clear they put a lot of effort into these drinks and the presentation was incredible.We got a variety of starters but the Lasooni Gobi was the clear stand out. A fusion of spices and peppers left our tastebuds tingling! It was a great way to get our tummies ready for the main event!The tikka masala with rack of lamb was delicious, perfectly spiced and creamy sauce with well cooked meat. The raita was a great accompaniment to the curry. We can’t wait to go back and try more dishes!The food was great, but so was the service. The waiters were attentive, personable, friendly, and fun. I never thought a restaurant would be a place that even the customers were singing happy birthday to a table, but not at Taj. We were all singing happy birthday with the waiter as the composer. We had a blast and felt a great sense of community at this establishment. Would highly recommend!
Delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. To go along with your amazing food, they have unique, tasty cocktails served in whimsical glassware. Also, very kid friendly! All in all a great experience. We will definitely be back!
