Best pizza in CT. The Italian Chicken Wings are a compulsory menu item.

I have to say this pizza is by far one of the best I ever had. I know this isn’t the historical New Haven location but it’s truly phenomenal. I was lucky enough to grab takeout in 30 minutes on a very busy Friday night. I’d recommend this location for a fun date night due to the bar and huge open spaces in both floors. If you want to talk privately or enjoy sitting at the bar this could be the place for you. The pizza itself was great - beautiful char, good sauce and perfect pepperoni cupping. This place will drive me to try the New Haven location in the near future.

What a pleasant disappointment.Look. This place makes good pizza. But the total lack of service is a no go for me. That alone is worth giving this place two stars. If I wanted take out, I could order take out. It has the atmosphere of a sit down restaurant, although this is misleading with the kiosk self serve and no post order service including refilling of drinks.Sadly I won’t be back. Pizza will be cheaper and just as good with full service elsewhere

Overall very good experience. First time with New Haven style, had high hopes and the pizza did not disappoint. It was opening and I was surprised how empty it was, granted it's a holiday weekend. We ordered 2 Caeser salads and a large pie. The Caeser was honestly underwhelming. It lacked flavor, salt, pepper. A very bare bones version of a caeser, with no croutons or anything other than lettuce. The pizza came next, huge 20" pie. Cooked well done, and in my opinion, perfectly. The sauce was very clearly fresh and the cheese was light and tasty. As far as pizza goes, this is pretty high up there, and our family easily could have eaten a second pizza.Service was fine, nothing special. Clearly the pizza is the star, skip the salad next time.Other reviews talked about speed, granted no one was really in the restaurant when we ordered, but we experienced prompt service.4.5/5 would eat here again.

What a difficult review to write… this is SALLY’S… SALLY’S!!! The best pizza place in the US… to open a second location outside of New Haven is a big move! Choosing Stamford as your second location is a no brainer - well done!Taking a step back - the apizza - the pies were absolutely delicious! Are they New Haven status… no… are they darn close… absolutely! It is clear - 100% clear - that the owner/manager of this establishment is ignoring the blatantly obvious fact that patrons of Sally’s, the target client, is not interested in ordering their pizza from a centralized kiosk and sitting down at a table with limited to no interaction from a server! What an embarrassment to a “family forward” establishment. The sad reality is SEVEN months in the owner/manager is ignoring reality and digging their heals in… I am worried this location will fail… unless things change. And I hope they change. It took 45 minutes for my wife and I to receive the pizzas we ordered tonight… this is NEW HAVEN APIZZA - it takes 5 minutes to cook… the pizza makers were legit joking around behind the pizza counter… they should be pumping out pizzas like they do in New Haven…Management needs to take some control here.

Excellent New Haven style pie - thin crust (extremely well baked with a little char), great red sauce, light on the cheese and amazing toppings. The sausage and potato options were fantastic - and the cheese-only pie was a classic! Great new rendition of a classic spot!

A lot of negative reviews seem to be during their 'just opened' days, I decided to wait a little before trying them to make sure they got their stuff sorted out.Delicious pizza and a welcoming sight to Stamford's pizza options. Classic new haven style with crispy and (ideally slightly) charred crust. Asked for extra sauce and they did not dissapoint. The menu is a bit limited but the options they do have are very well made. I will be returning for more in the future.

Having grown up in New Haven you can imagine how excited I was to hear about a local favorite opening up in my new neighborhood. Growing up Sally’s and Pepe’s were the the highlight of a good evening. A local favorite perfected by their namesakes. This evening I ordered a small cheese pizza for an 8pm takeout. I live in the building above this location and was able to arrive exactly at 8pm. I was told my pizza was in the oven and wouldn’t be more than a few minutes. Having eaten, and even made, these pizza’s since I was a child I know they don’t cook for more than 5 minutes in the oven. You could imagine my shock that it took until 8:29pm to receive my orderThis could typically be blamed on a busy Friday evening crowd however this Thursday evening their dining room is closed and they are operating with take-out orders only. I am not sure what Sally’s needs to do to improve their fulfillment time but at this rate I can’t imagine they will be particularly successful. It appears Sally’s has decided themselves to settle the age old debate: what is the best New Haven pizza shop .. Sally’s or Pepe’s?

A very very good pie. Comes down to personal preference but from a technical standpoint, this is as perfect as a pizza gets. Professionally operated. This restaurant has it all. I’d like to come back and try more options but I’m pretty sure the standard Tomato and Mozzarella pie is and will always be the benchmark for all others.

While this location is not nearly as good as its older counter part in New Haven, that's kinda not an insult considering that pizzeria is considered to be one of the best on the planet for God knows how many decades... at least six... anyway this new Stamford spot is clearly still has its newly openings training wheels on but the pizza pies themselves can go toe to toe with any of local favs in southern CT. I have a feeling within a few months this place will be a well oiled machine cranking out pies that are impossible to tell the difference between the New Haven spot... and locals who are giving this spot bad reviews because they're trying to defend their beloved local Irish flat bar pies... trust me its gonna be nice to have that and a legit New Haven style Apizza place in your town. Variety is the spice of life.
