I've been here a few times and never feel like they have the best of anything. A dinner took 4 hours end-to-end and we had to ask multiple times for wine. The waiter was very busy and kept forgetting he'd already asked us our orders. Food isn't anything to write home about. The staff is so nice and of course the location is gorgeous, but it's really not a place I'd go for a nice dinner. The costs are insane for the quality & service you're getting.
Love Prime! Such a nice spot in the summer sitting out by the harbor! The service and food are excellent as well.
Chose Prime for 50th Birthday celebration, we were looking for a fun buzzy vibe that could mimic a dinner in NYC and it was perfect. It was a Saturday night at 7pm in July and the bar was packed and restaurant was full but our reservation was honored and we were seated right away. We loved the Shrimp and Lobster Wontons and the Brussels Sprout and Asparagus side dishes. The Filet Mignon was good but not great. Chocolate cake super moist and delicious. I wish this place had a live band or DJ and would capitalize on their crowds by having an after dinner nightlife so you could eat dinner and then continue the evening without leaving. We love Mastroâs in Chicago (also NYC) that has a huge bar with live music. Wish someone would replicate that in Fairfield County.
We sat outside and had a lovely meal. The wine list is good and has several price points.
