Terrible place! Takes them over an hour to deliver food and they always get the order wrong!!
Really terrible food. Ordered both Japanese bento box and Chinese shrimp dish. Either too bland in one soup and too spicy in the other. Also they fill with cheaper ingredients. They should call the shrimp dinner huge chunks of peppers and a little frozen shrimp. I went there by mistake, as I had been told it was bad. It's a mistake I won't repeat.
Food was just okay and interior is pretty plain. Help is pretty good
Went here for an early dinner with my sister while visiting Stamford. Mask requirements have been reduced and the staff stayed masked during this visit. Having grown up in Chinatown NY, I thought the food was well made and tasty. Although the entree portions were in line with Western restaurant portions, they were smaller than what I am used to in NYC prior to the pandemic. Still, the service was good, the food was made quickly, tasty and worth the cost IMHO. I'd easily recommend this pleasant oasis of well made Chinese food.
Very fresh delicious food. Consistently yummy. Friendly fast service. This is the seafood central park, veggie fried rice and tofu veggie soup.. uhmmm good!
Food was an hour and a half late and when it arrived there was a live bug in the bag. Asked to be refunded and the restaurant called asking for the food back. We will never be ordering form here again. Poor service and rude staff. And bugs!!!!
Consistently good Chinese food. This is my local go-to place for Chinese takeout.
My husband & I were looking to try something new for dinner on Monday and there have been many posts on FB about Pearl East. It was late when we called…30 minutes before closing, but that wasn’t a problem.We ordered sesame chicken, hot pepper chicken, and fried rice. It was delicious! So delicious that my husband ate all the leftovers fried rice on Tuesday when I was working & had to confess.We will definitely order again!!!
We had dinner and found COCKROACH in one of our favorite dish, Peking style pork chop. We used to love Pearl East so much that came for lunch and dinner quite often. But this time the cockroach shocked us. We found a cockroach in the middle of the dish after we had eaten a few pieces on top of it. We reported it immediately and the general manager said she could offer a replacement for the dish. We didn't want to eat anything in the restaurant anymore because we were not sure the safety and hygiene of other dishes. We asked for waive the meal, after a while, she approved it. We wanted to talk to the owner about the hygiene issue and the general manager claimed she is the owner at the meantime. She said it's common to see cockroach in restaurant and it happened in the past. Besides, she mentioned that in the past there were some NICE customers who insisted to pay for the full meal when they found cockroach while the restaurant offered them to waive the meal. Does it mean we are not NICE customer because we asked to waive the meals. We asked them what they can do with the situation? The general manager who claimed she is the owner said they could do nothing. We hope they can realize it's unacceptable to find cockroach in food when serving customers especially during pandemic HYGIENE is the most important thing. Cockroach carries diseases. PLEASE clean your kitchen properly and the entire restaurant.
