What a cute diner. The staff is wonderful and it is so basic that it's perfect. The only problem is that it's small and I'm sure during lunch it is quite a draw. I had the two eggs over easy and everything about it was classic. Will always come here for a nice brunch if they can squeeze me in.
The staff was friendly and the food was okay (nothing special), however the portions are terrible. This is a picture of their rice, beans, and eggs before I even took a single bite. This is ridiculous to be frank - the quantity and quality of food IS NOT WORTH WHAT YOU PAY FOR IT
It is not the fanciest, the food is very simple but very good. I’ve been going here for five years and I absolutely love it
I wanted to like this place. For the location it could be so much more!! There should be a wait to get in for Saturday and Sunday morning but it wasn't. It's just okay. Cheap silverware that was probably purchased at the $1 store...yikes. Sorry to say but my egg and cheese is way better. I asked for cheddar cheese on my eggs and it looked like it was more like Kraft cheese slices. The waitress however was very nice. My husband ordered six egg whites which came to $15. So not only is it okay but the prices are ridiculous. Well at least we can say we tried it since we're new to Stamford but never again. Let me at least say my son's pancakes were good and the coffee was decent.
Curley’s is my new “go to” restaurant for any meal. I fly all over the country and always looking for quality food at reasonable prices. Curley’s exceeded my expectations. Clean, fresh food, friendly staff. I had the salmon and it was great! Oh yes, I’ll be back
Always friendly when I go to pick up orders.
Overpriced, poor quality diner food. Went with a large group and nearly everyone was disappointed in the quality of the food. Pancakes were dry, fries were bland, and I had to add far too much salt and pepper to get the tiniest bit of flavor out of my omlette. Was looking for hearty, satisfying hometown diner goodness but only found flavorless and disappointing. And for basic diner food? Absolutely overpriced. Only bright spot was how accomodating the staff was with our large group. Otherwise, would NOT recommend. I'm sure there are much better restaurants in the area.
What a wonderful old fashioned diner. Extensive menu, breakfast, lunch and entrees. It's a must stop when you're down that way in the state.
I love roadside diners. That's why I was sad to have to give this a three-star. It wasn't a happy friendly diner atmosphere that I'm used to. I ordered the pizza burger and it basically was a pre-made prepackaged food store Burger overcooked. I also got the Disco fries which were not bad. If I'm around I don't know if I would give him another shot I'd probably try somewhere else ?
I don't know who this particular person was, he might have been the manager, or the owner. He definitely worked the register. This man was very rude to me and the person I had breakfast with. One of the waiters sat us at a table when we entered the diner and five minutes later this guy comes over to us telling us we HAD to move because another party was waiting five minutes for the table. Didn't apologize, wasn't nice at all towards us. He even reprimanded the waiter in front of everyone for seating us at the table he seated us at. Plus, we had to move our own drinks and utensils to another table ourselves. All it would've taken was an apology for the mix up and to be cordial about it, but that wasn't the case. Otherwise, the other employees that work there were very nice and attentive. The food came out within a decent amount of time. It would've been a good visit had it not been for this man.
