Is the best pizza I've ever had? Possibly. It's for sure the best "bar" pizza.Thanks for the shoutout el Pres - I never would've heard of the place otherwise.The hot oil is a++.
An institution to the bar pie cult. This Connecticut landmark did not disappoint. See the attached pics of the bar pie with Stingers (Serrano chilis) and Sausage. The price is right and that made the food taste even better.

I ordered the hot oil pizza with peppers and mushrooms. The pizza has the perfect amount of spice for my taste. Veggies were fresh and service was good. Pizza took 15 mins to cook. I like this

If you would like to have a thin, spicy, crisp pizza, then Colony Grill is where you need to go! Colony Grill has been around for a long time and I have had the pleasure of coming here to have their signature Hot Oil Pizza. Open since the 1930s, this establishment created their signature thin crust bar pie that does not go crazy with a lot of cheese or sauce on it. It allows the pizza to stay crisp for a while when it is on your table without a flop! Their signature topping is hot oil, which is spicy through how the infuse peppers in the oil. I have always end up getting a Hot Oil Pie and it never disappoints me! I have had pies without the hot oil before and they tasted good as well, though I will say that for my taste buds, they all taste better with the hot oil! Do yourself a favor and if you are either this flagship location or one of their others... GET THAT HOT OIL PIE!
Honestly the best pizza I’ve ever had. I’m from NY so grew up with that style and my favorite is Chicago style and this type is one to add to the rotation. The hot oil is a must try. My favorite combo is hot oil, sweet peppers and onion. We are trying to order as many times as we can before we move out of state!!
Well let me start with this type of pizza not being my preference. However it is damn good. I ordered a plain cheese pie. Great combination of sauce, cheese and texture. On the much smaller side but still packed with flavor. Great charred cheese crunch around the edges. The service was awesome and ambiance of the bar was equally so. I will absolutely come back again and highly recommend.
If you like thin pizza good customer service and a clean restaurant and clean bathroom this is a place you might want to choose!
