I never thought I’d review a Chipotle, but this location is notably bad. Kinda feels like I’ve walked in on a kids birthday party where the adults were gone for too long. The food line can be a mess, ingredients mixed together, slops of salsa/sour cream/guacamole on the counter. The soda and napkins always look like a Jack in a Box just went off. They have two Coca Cola dispensers and neither of them work. I actually find this comedic. Like one of the two streams would always shoot straight water, but it would change. So they closed one permanently and now neither of them work. Like I’m not even mad anymore it’s just funny. Anyway, it seems there’s only ever one employee serving as the line and cashier while random people in the back are doing… something? Ingredients are always low.Strange location. I gave them a pass for a few months because it was a new location but yeah it’s just really bad. Better off driving to Greenwich exit 5.EDIT: for some reason I keep going here so I’ll update new and exciting ways it’s so bad. Last time I was here they had no ice. Like I bought a soda cup, they didn’t say anything, I discovered there was no ice, told them “there’s no ice,” and they were like “yeah there’s no ice,” like I’m the idiot. I guess I am? Why would this location have ice? This is just funny to me.
This Chipotle location is Lord of the Flies at it's best! The employees here are basically unmanaged pubescent children running wild. I have never seen any type of supervisor here. Every time I go here, they are out of at least 3 items or more. And some of their attitudes are HORRIFIC! They have an appalling "If you don't like it, there's the door!" attitude. I'd ordered a burrito and the individual serving gave a friend and me extremely small portions. To avoid conflict, we upgraded to a double portion. The double was less than what a single should be. When I'd questioned it, she gave me a nasty attitude, a sharp a "yup" and "nope" and stated "Oh well sorry" and refused any accommodation. A fellow coworker saw this, came to finish the order on the assembly line (with her "gun loaded") and proceed with the teeth sucking , followed by an "Oh well, it happens!" when I had mentioned that they are consistently out of items. With this, I aborted my order and left the premises. I refuse to accept this behavior! One thing I will not tolerate is a bad attitude! I was nothing but polite and respectful, and I expect the same in kind!
Just consider that I use to LOVE Chipotle’s food. The Chipotle Restaurant in Stamford is a NO-GO!I’ve been turning the blind eye many times because I like the food. But enough is enough. The place looks and smells bad.Employees are rude. They frequently run out of ingredients and ask you to wait (white rice, salad dressing, grilled chicken …).Chipotle MANAGEMENT: please address it!!!
Should have listened to the reviews and stayed away. I never thought they’d mess up so bad. Where do I start? They ran out of white rice during lunch time. That’s bad preparation that’s what that is. I was told I had to wait 20 minutes. I have 30 minutes for lunch that’s not an option. The brown rice was undercooked, the steak was so bland and had too many fatty pieces, the fajita onions and peppers weren’t cooked at all they were basically raw, the portions were so much smaller than usual. It was disgusting and bland. The kitchen was also a mess, it’s such an easy space to keep clean so the fact that it wasn’t is alarming. I grew up in the restaurant business so I’m very observant. The kitchen staff looked unqualified to be around food. They don’t seem to know how to multi-task either. Poor management! I got back to work with my lunch after a few bites it went to the garbage. I wasted my time, money and energy and will NEVER return to Chipotle again. Get it together or just close up shop because that’s not how you run a business. Oh and if your hood isn’t working maybe keep customers out! No one could breathe in there today without coughing up a storm. It was a circus in there.
Place is really good with good vibes. The only thing like to add is their staff don't know English. I think the manager needs to do something for that. Rest the place is good. COVID protocol is good and their are near by other stores also like Five guys and some other stores also. After Chipotle I went to Five guys as I really like their French fries ??
Google should definitely allow 0 stars. Worse Chipotle I’ve been nationwide. The first time I came, couldn’t eat here because the place was incredibly dirty, restrooms were awful, no toilet paper, no paper towels to dry hands. One toilette at one restroom was stuck full of you know what. The kitchen was a mess, Guacamole looked really bad. I decided not to eat here but I gave them the benefit of the doubt (we all can have a bad day right?). However, today expecting something different, I get here and the only protein they had was carnitas. No chips, no hard shells. Floor mats were laying on the seats and a really bad service overall. Hopefully management changes.
I ordered online, arrived at the scheduled time and asked for the order. The socially awkward cashier couldn’t find the order and asked me if I was sure I ordered. *Yes I’m sure.* She finally found the order stapled to 3 other online orders they also didn’t bother to prepare and did not even pretend to offer an apology. I had to wait behind in person customers for them to make the order and the server weirdly barked “no fajitas” in the rudest manner possible. I have years of experience working in retail and before that in restaurants so I know it’s not easy and I respect workers in those environments. But if they hate their jobs and customers so much, they should move on. A sad and toxic environment.
Place is awful. Dining area is always a mess/trashed. Employees hate you, me, everyone.Place is like eating in a public bathroom. And the portions? Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Low quality food. Not fresh at all (hard rice) beans looked gross. Small portions for lettuce and cheese. Please shut down this chipotle or train the staff to cook better food and serve the right portions. Will not be coming here again. I will drive Norwalk to not waste my money.
Machine for toasting is ALWAYS down. Also, when they're out of product, you only learn about it after waiting in line and you're almost finished ordering. POST IT SO WE KNOW BEFORE WASING OUT TIME! Lastly, I've have to mention to the manager several times, that their dining area is a mess. He didn't seem too concerned.
