We. Sat outside for a lunch and the waitress completely ignored us. She waited on a couple that came in after we had been sitting at the table for awhile!! Never even acknowledge we were there at all!! We just left!
Portion sizes are good, but quality for price is lacking in areas. Ordered fried seafood platter (shrimp, cod, scallops,& clams ur choice on type of clams), I chose cheaper option of fried clam strips. Scallops are the wet ones that are limp, and have no firmness or bite to them. This platter was almost $40, also want to mention 1/2 of the platter was the clam strips ( shrimp and cod excellent). Lobster bisque was the nail in the coffin that pushed me off the edge to write this review. It had "gloops" every few spoonful and I'm convinced lobster bits in soup were frozen. Fresh lobster is plump not dry. No one can tell me anything about fresh lobster because I buy them live at least once a week and have mistakenly frozen it once before. Cost for 1 fried platter and 2 lobster bisque ( one with bread bowl) $70. @ Sam the clam: quality can be better for these prices.
What a great place to have a great meal. Great food but the wait staff was all that and more. MaMa you know how to take care of your customers. Thaks for an enjoyable time. Bob and Scott

I picked up food to go from Sam The Clam and was so very pleased. I had whole bellied fried clams which was among the best I ever had and my wife had chicken parmesan which was outstanding. Highly recommend.I feel that the wait staff should have worn masks with Omicron raging however.
I’ll be honest, I was nervous just seeing the exterior. Tacky decor outside and a not great parking lot that needs to expand the entrance/exit.But the food and drinks were excellent. Fresh, tasty, and really exceeded my expectations. Fantastic beer list, and the fried shrimp was cooked perfectly. Will definitely return.
Not bad, the place was cool. The waitresses were kind, and served me and my friends well. The only problems are the food, the water, the smell of the place, and the organization of the restaurant. Other than that, it seems to be pretty ok. I wouldn't come here if you're looking for good quality seafood.
Absolutely wonderful spot, started going here after other establishments in town have let me down. Staff is fantastic, great service and they make great drinks. Couldn't ask for a better bar!
