BBQ's are indeed unique locations! In order for that special mystic to be successful, you need to have a number of items all working perfectly! One is the taste, aroma and appearance of the food. The next is the 'service' of the staff, their helpfulness, their friendliness, their professionalism and that on special quality they showing that they CARE! We have been to this site a number of times and feel fully qualified to make this review with conviction. We fully recommend you visit this location and enjoy the experience. If you add to that the main goal of recognizing all those who have served and who are serving, how can you not go?! The site is centrally located with plenty of parking, please just do not cross the double yellow lines to improperly enter the lot!
My siblings and I are from out of state. We got in Southington late on Thursday. So we showed up at 8:30 (half hr before they close). These people were some of the nicest people we have ever met. They were so friendly and accommodating and explained all to us since we have never been to a Mission BBQ. The food was absolutely delicious!!! We loved the military theme. Great experience!! We highly recommend!!
Amazing first time experience! The food was just incredible. Everything was so tasty. I love all the different types of BBQ sauces. Amber greeted us and explained everything and answered all our questions. She was so helpful. Ordering was easy! The dining area was clean and bright. It was very easy to get our drinks. Summer was very helpful in the dining area helping to wrap all of our leftovers. The bathroom was spacious, clean and very pretty. We can't wait to come back. Best BBQ ever! Oh, and the peach cobbler was wonderful! I highly recommend saving room for dessert!
The food here was delicious, and honestly, I'd come back just for the mac and cheese! The staff were very friendly and thoughtful! It was our first time here and they took the time to go over the menu with us. Also they were kind enough to give us complimentary peach cobbler! Which was amazing as well! Definitely will be coming back in the near future! Mmmmmm
Everyone was so nice, even as they were about to close. Never felt rushed on any level. Food was A1. Definitely will return. Recommend 100. The Brisket is my favorite!
Wow. AMAZING. food was so so good. Brisket so soft and juicy. Pulled pork left my mouth watering and the jalapeno and cheese sausage was very good also. Corn bread was just right. I almost forgot the Mac and cheese. The carrot cake just made me cry it was so good. The atmosphere was amazing. Respect for the heroes no one mentions. Our fallen soldiers from first responders to military. I would highly recommend visiting mission bbq.
My wife and I tried it out for the first time today. All the workers were so friendly and personable. The food was delicious, the brisket can’t be beat. I was blown away by the flavors. Highly recommend trying it if you haven’t already. Great atmosphere and amazing food.
Fantastic experience at Mission BBQ in Southington! My first time there, I was meeting a friend to talk about a work opportunity. We dined for 1.5 hours and were pleasantly surprised by our dining room attendant, Jean. She was lovely, asked us about our meal and followed up with an inquiry about our leftovers. I felt very welcome as a customer and my experience with Jean will guarantee a return visit.
Been driving by for years since it opened and decided to finally stop in. All I can say is that Mission BBQ has really affordable barbecue that doesn’t lack in flavor whatsoever.From the fast service to the multitude of sauce options on every table, this has to be one of the best quick stop BBQ joints in the area that doesn’t break the bank.
Mission is on my top 5 list for places to stop to grab food. Staff is always awesome but food is always better! Portions are good, price is very reasonable. If you like BBQ you will never be disappointed!
