Menu was pretty limited
We came into Ideal Tavern for Father's Day and were unfortunately disappointed by our experience. Despite there being only a few tables there, the service was slow, and waited nearly an hour for our meals to come out. When they did come out, the fish and chips we ordered was raw and several meals were missing sides it was supposed to come with. The food itself was nothing special. I probably would not bother returning to Ideal Tavern which was a bummer because I was looking forward to trying it.
Good beer, wine and con Katie selection. Food is good menu is good mix of fish meats and vegetarian. Stuff very attentive and pleasant. Great addition to the restaurant scene in southington

My husband and I love going to this spot for drinks, apps and dinner. We haven’t been there in a while and wasnt to show my parents my favorite restaurant. The host and waitress were amazing and attentive. The cocktails amazing! But unfortunately the meals were not the same. Not sure if they changed owners or new chef but was alittle dissatisfied. Smaller menu, as I believe of the supply chain or they try to do seasonal. Smaller menu means more fresh ingredients. So thats a plus. Just didnt hit the same way then I remembered. Thank you for a good night, will be back for drinks! Hopefully in the summer you’ll bring back your fried pickles! Great snack at the bar with a couple drinks.
Food has always been great, our waitress seemed new, but was bubbly and engaging, and, as always, we had another great date night!
Delicious meal! We both had superb shrimp dishes (1 special 1 from menu) and amazing cocktails!
Slow service. Burnt food. Dry food. Poor attitudes from staff
